You also didn't mention that when you are oos, if the Black Prior hits you with a light, it puts you in enough block stun for his chain bash to land. Netting him 20dmg and 20 stamina drain. Have fun trying to get your stamina back :)))))))

i was looking forward to this for a while there, but now we're getting a conq except the bash confirms 20 damage. fuck. At least his defense isn't so safe as conqs but still... a 20 damage bash from neutral is never fun. why the hell did the devs implement this? at least make the bash more punishable, or confirm less damage. This makes no sense. The devs know conq is a hated top teir character, largely because of his bash, so they put in a better one? wtf. I know we want offense, but there's a better way than unreactable attacks from neutral. At the very least, they should put the 500ms bash only in chains (like after a heavy or a light) so playing against vortiger you know when to expect the bash, and have a way to stop it. It's like the devs haven't learned anything making this game for two years.

Good news is that it's only on forward dodges, not side dodges. The recovery time however on a missed shield bash makes me fear that the move has literally no risk against characters without dodge attacks. I hope the recovery timing is long enough that you at least get a GB if you dodge on prediciton.

His option select is strong in terms of defence, but only beats attacks that are committed to. Feinting a heavy > parry/block/dodge beats it or sets the fight to neutral with the conq losing in terms of stamina loss. His best tool is his bash because of the variable timing and speed of it, hands down.

Headbutt is: Mono-directional, thus you can initiate it only from a forward doge, not side like Conquer, not back like Warden or Shaman It isn't variable, you can do it only at a certain time and that's it. It does the least damage than any kind of bash. Only 12. It has a specific animation thus you cannot pull a Tiandi or Conq and save yourself with the light or heavy from a guardbreak. If you miss it you are GB vulnerable. As it stands it feeds a lot of revenge. Until you won't be able to activate it during a 1v1 in 4v4 it is is a tool against yourself. It cannot be chained into anything. It cannot be softfeinted from any move. Shaman can feint her bash into a forward dodge attack. Valk can feint her heavy into a Bash. Conq is the same. Yeah, this is the worst Bash. Face it, you are bad if you lose to it. Headbutt is glorified chip damage.

550 or 575 if it will really need changed after release. A good balance for these types of moves in theory is reactable reaction = avoid damage but no punish, read = large punish I.E gb. It comes down to the animation in game with the current timing, conq just sorta teleports forward which makes that shit animation hard to read whereas Warden starts running making it easy enough to read if calm. If Prior coming at you is impossible to tell from the animation before the unblock visuals pop it will be bad, If there is a tell it should be reactable just fine once you know that tell.

Gud Hunter I try to limit myself when playing characters to get better. For example with tiandi I used only lights and heavies and zone. Noting more noting less. I got my ass kicked at first but eventually learned how to Whiff my light into a heavy. How to land three lights and how to faint and time assasins quick guard.

Do I have to mention how delayable Conq shield bash is, forcing you to guess what he would do JUST by him dashing forward? People overestimate themselved every time, thinking they ''react'' to difficult stuff when in reality they are unknowingly predicting it. Conq's shield bash is unanimously recognized as one of the cheapest attacks in the game by its sheer very low risk-high reward rapport. It's not me who cannot deal with 50/50s, it's people who think that these are not 50/50s and they ''can be reacted easily''. Speak with a competitive player and he will say to you that these attacks need to be predicted, and you cannot react to them.

This forces him to use his other tools as a mixup which I think is decently fair. Still, it will probably be really annoying until we get used to it. If it really becomes a problem after release I'd say slow it down to 550 or 575, If its punishable by a full gb on a reaction dodge that's a problem in of itself but if it hits too easy while being to hard to punish it becomes a crutch. I like the idea of the read giving a big reward but just reacting only being to avoid damage.

Option select zones are really useful because it helps you defend against yourself in 1vX easily. Option select zones generally are healthy for the game and add a potential mixup to otherwise stale interactions, it’s an active risk you take and is part of the mind games of FH.
