the word about "being a blessing to the city God sends you" was monumental & eventually fruitful when He moved us from IL to TX in 93! So here we are in the future, Marty! And as promised, the Lord's been faithful. Hallelujah!

I thought you were gonna say or this verse only applied to them back then and not us but you are right and I agree 100% - you just got a new subscriber. May God continue to grant you insight into His marvellous Word as you exegesis the Word in a manner so plain that children can understand it. God bless you

Amen, God is no respecter of persons. Believers must not just think about the context but the meaning behind the scripture, God's character, and how scripture confims scripture. Proverbs 3:5-6 🕊

This video came at perfect timing for me. I have recently been through a situation where I was so anxious and worried about what God wanted me to do in life. I felt stuck at the cross paths with a million directions I could be taking but only one of them is the right one. It was quite honesty consuming me. However, I reached out to a close friend and we talked about it and he said that I should get through today and not worry about tomorrow because today's battles have to be won before I can tackle tomorrow. I have to learn to cast my worries and anxieties to the Father. I feel so much better for doing that. Amen.

Do "delight in the lord and he will give you the desires of your heart"
@chandragay146 жыл бұрын
Allow me to get your comment straight IF you are saying what I think you are say. "Desires of your heart". Hmmmm. Lets say I want to divorce my spouse (which I do not) and marry a millionaire (oh what fun). Am I delighting in the Lord? Hmmm. Divorce? Does divorce delight in the Lord? Money? I would love to have it. I would love to payoff all of my bills and just sit back in the Bahamas or buy a villa in Europe. Does God find those things in my best interest? Hmmm.

Ms. Gay, Delighting in the Lord is first! If you delight yourself in the Lord then you wouldn't desire superficial things.

This is such a vital series to the Christian community. If we use scripture out of context there could be detrimental effects to our doctrine, and ultimately our walk with God. Shedding some light on this topic is highly commendable. Thank you for having the courage to take a stand against false doctrine, and start teaching the true word of God to the Church. May God bless you, Christ guide your every step, and the Holy Spirit work through you all the days of your life. Thank you so much!

God bless you for this Jon and I am really at a season where I really need to understand my personal relationship with God and come into a full awareness of who He is. I keep thinking that nothing is good enough for me and even people around me it's like I'm living on an edge. Like I l'm hanging on and holding onto life and I don't really like it now because nothing is making sense to me why it feels like I'm at a repetitive cycle. like deja vu the very things I ran away from trying to hunt me down again and I'm like Lord Jesus Christ I thought the deal was for me never to see, live and experience these things again because I hate them so why is it coming down to hunt me? I thought when the Egyptians got drowned it was meant to be forever. I thank God for all He has done for me but all I want is that intimate relationship with that no matter what happens I won't be shaken because I know the confidence I have with our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Can you make a video about how to overcome sinful desires after you convert to Christianity? Or how to overcome past mistakes without feeling guilty? Kind Regards, btw I love your work!!!!
@andrewtoering42377 жыл бұрын
Taly Reyes As far as overcoming the bible is plain about it. We need to put it on the cross "crucify" the desire of the flesh. Turn from it, and no matter how it feels refuse to fall to it. This is possible, and does get easier or rather will feel easier. We are children of God, born again and all things in us are new, all things that are new being of God. Who God is is amazing I would suggest as you grow with the Lord to speak to him in ways as such. From a place of sincerity as opposed to repeating what is written. Lord your word says " scripture " (ie. all things in me are of you and I have everything according to every good work. If you are not seeing that then you can tell him, I am not seeing this, and ask him to please show you. I often seek the Lord about who I am, who he is and what has been done in me. Constantly seeking for a more accurate understanding. As you know the truth you will see it as easier and you will realize that it is actually of your nature to walk right with God as opposed to sinning if you are born again. The truth is those desires have been overcome in your "inner man" and the only thing that may be talking is your flesh or the carnal mind which has no place to talk at this point considering born again believers have the mind of Christ. So in short crucify the desire of the flesh, forsake them and seek true religion. True religion is to visit the orphans and widows in the affliction and walk without spot. You have been given everything you need and sin has been conquered in us, you can still ask to be strengthen in your inner man and so forth. Though the truth is all you need to do is just believe it has been done and do it. This is all assuming you have been born again.

Interesting, as i explore ways to understand better, My journey with god. I came across many who said to read and pray and when you need a word ask to be guided and read the word that sometimes a "word" will stand out to you and it resonates with what you need. However thats taking it out of context? How can you explain that. Take everything literal or are there specific situations

Jeremiah 29:11 was not intended for individual use. It was directed to the Israelites collectively as a nation. God was stating the existence of a plan for the nation of Israel. I’m not saying God cannot have a plan for any individual person, but that is not in Jeremiah 29:11.

Good. Do a bit on explaining that "God's plan" is completely unknown outside of maybe us being here to help one another get through life based on a FAITH that there is a better existence waiting when we're done here. (here meaning linear time/mortal existence). "God's plan for you" can simply be summed up in the 10 commandments if you're a minimalist. For details/examples on how to handle a few specific situations that can be applied to most aspects of life, study the teachings of Christ. There's no magic man in the sky playing puppet master with your life based on your actions. The almighty isn't a person or thing. You do as you please and you get what you earn, so sayeth the Word. Stop 'humanizing' the unhuman entity of God. And study quantum mechanics... it'll help with understanding where your own eternal essence fits into the grand order of things that we still don't comprehend.
@MandMe6 жыл бұрын
Out of context but also for us today?!!? Its funny that in order to prove that we can lay claim to a promise that God made to Israelites you quote scripture from a book literally written to HEBREWS called "the Book of HEBREWS!!!!..hahaha
