For L.Z. -- Seiko 6138-3000 "Jumbo" Evaluation

For the time that I owned mine ( brand new in April 1973) I always assumed it was automatic only. Did not know I could wind it. Doh!

American English just gets better and better. "OK., let's go ahead and keep going." Jumbo owner here. I bought it, new, in 1975. It needs a service, but all servicing quotations I've received are massively in excess of the value of the watch. The bracelets on Jumbos are awful. If you have a good working 3000 example an after-market rubber deployment strap is probably the best upgrade.
