It makes me so upset that the two year old twin has no hope of any kind of life because the breeders didn't get her to a vet when she was born. She may never have been a rideable pony but she could have had some sort of life. She's only two and she's broken. Poor baby. My heart hurts. 💔 💔

I feel so badly for poor Pipsqueak. Those legs never stood a chance. It's so sad for such a young horse, but there's no possibility of a quality of life there. The owners should have dealt with that long before now. Bobby McGee bringing some joy into the world with him. Welcome to the world, little guy! 💙

I agree.. poor Pipsqueak is only 2 yrs old and already has arthritis and bone malformation in all of his feet..as Dr Pillman said he might have had a decent life if they had treated him with the braces on each leg..but this poor horse 🐎 is already in chronic pain and just keeping him alive is cruel..its the last act of kindness for this beautiful horse which is the only decision no matter how much it hurts to do this to a 2 yr old who still has baby teeth !!..

I feel for Pauly's back, because of lifting those hoofs everyday, he needs to wear a back brace now, before an injury. ❤😊
@sallywaites85174 ай бұрын
He's had many injuries. When it comes to farrier work, especially with horses that don't cooperate, there's only so much you can do to protect your back. It's a dangerous job. That's why good farriers are hard to find. Some won't even work with horses who don't stand nicely.

It's extremely extremely important for any owner/ rescue to aid the hoofcare provider in training all equine to pick up their feet !!! And to teach em to be patient and stand for a farrier!!! If you like / your hoofcare provider - then respect them enough by working with the horse-mule-dokey !!! Especially large drafts - daily /3/4 ×s a day !!!! Respect and love ya from afar Paulie !! Janice has to wear the clogs on her hooves because she does unfortunately have founder which is why she limps. She was so far into the pregnancy that Ponytales wanted to do everything they could to keep her comfortable enough to have her foal (now known as Bobby McGee) and raise him until he is old enough to be weaned from her. George is fully blind (both eyes were removed recently which is why the stitching from the srugery is still there) and he is getting to a state where he can mostly get around by himself well enough with the use of his other senses.

I have seen in one of the horse refuge they have a patch and I think it last a month?
@PurdueAlum014 ай бұрын
A patch... for flies? Wonder if he would tolerate some Equi-spot... It's good for two weeks but idk if he would react to it, that could be an issue... as it's long-acting it could really be a problem to get it out of his system... maybe they could do a tiny test patch and watch for reaction. Like a little allergy test with patches of different fly preventives until they find one that's ok... would only work if he has a local reaction though and doesn't just get hives all over his body... ugh a horse that sensitive to flies is going to have a rough go of it... if it's the fly spray at least they have a chance on calming things down...
