There's a difference between "possible" and you being able to grasp a certain topic. Machines intelligence, even in it's utmost primitive form is already capable of things that are humanly impossible. You say a machine doesn't know how to, let's say: walk a dog. When you're a godlike entity, you don't really need to know how to do that as dogs would then be very futile.

@@thecrazylazer True AI is definitatly possible. It may be decades from now to be created but someone will do it. I really don't want true AI to come about because of things like Sky Net, Cylons, Kaylons, etc. Yes, I know they are all fiction, science fiction to be exact, but there are things that exist now that would have been seen as Sci Fi 20 - 30 years ago.

It's simple really. If you have the capability to manipulate memories and the mind, many options appear. For example, you could make the individuals forget that certain behaviours like eating are human. Or you can manipulate the mind into not thinking about eating. Or you make it so that everybody who sits down at the table automatically gets the "I have already eaten" memory activated.

It kind of depends in some ways. When I was deployed and in Army during the early 2000's up until 2013. There are still all types of personalities with soldiers or marines too. There are some really sympathetic ones were if they were told the truth about something and it didnt seem right, they would sympathize. Some thought did not give a shit and will just do everything and anything, as exactly as told by anyone higher ranking then them. Then there are some, even when they join, they still cannot stand or do any type of violence and are extremely hesitant on decision making. Some just do the task, because it is simply their job and they just want to go home after the job is done, just as that. but I think in this film, the soldier sensed that the synths were not hostile at all. I remember from watching the movie, the synths were highly abused and then something happened and they just tried to defend themselves.

@@S.k.y.n.e.t. We do what we must to survive, often that means taking what opportunities are given. Now deciphering which opportunities to take, that takes real thought. Thought is often associated with higher education is it not? Many people simply can not afford a proper education so student loans are an option. Only this hinders that individual for many years and if one can not work to pay it off, they find themselves in a worse place. Society favors the rich and discriminates the poor. This is a generalization of course but unfortunately I’ve seen it and lived it with my very being. The inability to place ourselves into other’s positions is often a sign of never needing to do so. Apathy will not expand the heart. I hope you can understand what I’m trying to convey. This person might not have had many options. Does that make them dim witted? No. It makes them human.

I think in the film their government and higher ups was sending false propaganda about the A.I. being hostile, when all they wanted was to live in peace.

They actually began having emotions on their own, which led to self-defense (we learned it through his memories when he first starts having feelings for the wife he meets and then attacks out of ANGER in self-defense. The children were already created with emotions and were advertised as such. So humans who ran, actually ran because they lost the war they started with their own creation.

That makes a lot more sense than something that has no emotions wanting emotions. I don't feel any emotions and this makes me feel apathetic, because I literally can't feel any emotions, but I want you to make me feel upset about it, damn it!

@@Mythraen I think it's different for humans than something that could be designed to have no emotions. They were like computers, so they could rewrite themselves without even trying. They gained different emotions from experiencing humans. We know that this is how they work because the clinic was able to erase and rewrite their memories and personalities to fit the new lifestyle. Unfortunately humans who have no emotions can't really repair the brain based on the world around them, nor is there a machine that could do that. We can only learn how to live around having no emotions or too many emotions. I have SPD, so emotions are very difficult for me and my Autistic kids. Must be nice being able to just erase anything you don't want to deal with.

@@never_give_up90 Honestly, I'm not sure what you thought I was saying. Wants are emotional. Like, what could something that can't feel emotions _FEEL_ like it's missing that it would want emotions? Even curiosity is an emotion. It's a nonsensical idea. I was just saying the video proposing that they wanted emotions didn't make any sense. The fact that they already had some makes much more sense.

@@Mythraen I knew what you said! You just repeated yourself. I said that they are not human, so they can't be compared to a sociopath (human). They saw emotions, they learned emotions. They could turn off emotions but once they learned it, they liked it and wanted to keep it. Emotions help with a sense of purpose and a reason for living. It's much easier than relying on just logic. I would never want to lose my emotions, even if emotions can be very confusing at times. They were not designed with emotions but they were designed with the ability to have them. They had a human-like brain that evolved. So they were pretty much human(human-like), in the way they were made.

@@never_give_up90 If you read the first sentence of my previous comment, it will make perfect sense why I _CLARIFIED_ (not "repeated") myself. Also, I never mentioned sociopaths? Sociopaths lack _empathy,_ not emotion.

In hindsight, it’s an odd choice for the robots to not have advanced strength. The main couple struggled to hold the door when the “aliens” were trying to get in…💡 Why are they struggling? They’re robots 😂
