I was once detained at an airport TSA screening because my driver's license had expired a few days before my flight. I have no criminal history but I couldn't board the plane until I came up with another form of government-issued ID. If I had only been an illegal alien with a warrant for my arrest I'd have been OK. It doesn’t mean what you think. When arrested and processed, illegal aliens are given a copy of all the paperwork, to include arrest warrant and notice to appear (before an immigration judge). They will be provided a copy whether detained, released on bond or own recognizance. At that point the law states they are legally able to remain until the next time they report to an ICE office or go before an Immigration judge, or both, depending how long till their case (which could be a year or more due to the completely backed up immigration court system).

However, if you have a copy of your own warrant, it is overwhelmingly likely because it's already been served to you. 3. TSA doesn't even specify immigrants in the policy. The copy of arrest warrant is given to the alien when arrested and processed. They will always be given a copy of all of their arrest paperwork, including arrest warrant (which will have signatures showing it has been executed), whether detained or released by some means such as bond or own recognizance. CBP and ICE are required to give a copy of every form served to them.

I had a very nice experience with TSA screening. The TSA agents were very nice & helpful. I didn’t have the right paperwork for flying outside the country. They allowed me to come back with the right paperwork (it was my first time doing it, so I was unaware, on the fault of my part, because it was online… but I didn’t know the website to go to, lol) but very nice people at TSA. They allowed me to get the right sources of ID. I was very thankful. They immediately got me back in & I only had to wait 30 minutes to get to my 2 hr interview. I was happy to adhere to the laws. However, after hearing illegal immigrants get through faster than me? Wow!!!! Don’t get me wrong, I am happy the TSA was thorough. I am happy they were with me. But not thorough with illegal immigrants? Ok I am starting to question this process

Ever since 9-11 it had been very irritating to travel by commercial air across the USA and around the world. Over many years of air travel I have randomly been put through extra screening with no explanation here in the US and abroad ( I have no criminal record and have held a DOD security clearance for years). The thought that someone is getting onto a plane that has no I.D. other than a document like an arrest warrant to me is insane government mismanagement.
