When Raphael said hinata's attack was both unblockable and unavoidable. She suggested for rimuru to sacrifice his ultimate skill beelzebub. To offset the attack. At least thats what i read in the video i watched. I didn't see anything about Raphael convincing rimuru to steal the attack for himself.

Rimuru can absorb attacks and analyze them and make them his own. He did this when shizu transformed into eifriet way back when. He had Erin, the elf princess adventurer fire icicle lance at him so he could analyze the attack and he created icicle shotgun as a result. It's one of his original skills./ abilities. What happened here is that pinata used an ultimate skill, melt slash, which is the next firm of desentegration. Essentially it's desentegration applied to her sword strike. The move could not be avoided because of that. So Raphael had remuru counter the move via beazibuth and in turn the move beazibuth was sacrificed in the melt slash. That's all I'm saying right now, yeah Raphael was bei g extra cheeky on purpose, they will go into it in more detail later.

@@hedyhopes3591 Yep, Shion's unique skill master chef has the following sub-skills; 1) Certain Outcome: A heinous ability that directly alters the laws of the world, similar to an Ultimate Skill. It allows the user to freely change the result of an action or the state of an object into their desired outcome, no matter how improbable. It is possible to permanently alter the status of a living being or object to make an unnatural state their natural state, which makes any form of healing useless. The only way to counter this is to also be able to manipulate the laws of the world such as via Law Manipulation or an Ultimate Skill and then manage to overcome the user's will with their own will. 2)Optimal Action: Allows the user determine the best course of action in a given situation. It also enables the user to perfectly recreate anything they've done once. For instance, as long as they have scratched an enemy, they can make their attacks always deal damage, if they have blocked an attack once even just barely they will always be able to block that attack if it's used on them again etc. 3)Chaotic Fate: A combination of Certain Outcome and Optimal Action It allows Shion to manifest her desired result while maximizing her chances of success in any given situation, basicly it ignores the laws of physics.

WAAAAY early on (in the cave during episode 1) Rimuru linked Great Sage's analytical abilities with his Predation skill in order to allow him to analyze things when he absorbs them (this also allows him to learn skills/magic when he absorbs it). It was a pretty big revelation moment for him once he learned that they work in sync, and he's been doing it ever since (completely skipped in the anime version, along with the weapon grades, monster grades, evolutions, etc. all shown in this episode with 0 prior leadup), so he is able to absorb things and learn them with Predator/Gluttony/Beelzebub.

Rimuru did not use Beelzebub in the normal fashion. He "sacrificed" Beelzebub to cancel out the attack. So while it did its job in consuming meltslash, the skill was destroyed in that instant so that Rimuru didn't get the normal aftereffects of having consumed it. As for the holy field around Shion, in the books it was noted that this was not of the same caliber as the one put around Tempest. She was more resistant to the magicules being removed from inside the barrier. It wasn't stated why, but she is much more powerful now since Rimuru's evolution to an awakened Demon Lord, and presumably she has access to such a level of magicules that she no longer relies as much on those in the environment.

I agree, the ended off on Hinata & Rimuru, and then most of the episode was them singling out to 1v1, half of it we didn't see, Shion stole the episode, and the fight between Hinata until the end was really underwhelming.
