One of the many saddest moments in the show by far was Halig's death. The fact Uhtred had no choice but to play a part in it broke me. Same goes for Sigtryggr's death in season 5, he had so much respect for Sigtryggr and had to be ultimately responsible for taking his life. Still one of the best TV shows I have ever seen in my life... despite all the tears i've shed through watching it 😂

This is what Fundamentally broke the boy that Uhtred was and he grew up a lot after this. it was truly the Traumatic event that made Uhtred become the Man who would become the greatest warlord in Britain.

One of the most impactful scenes I've ever seen

This is not "Murder" as a captured slave he had no choice.

This part of The Last Kingdom was one of my more emotional viewing times, I cried so much when Uhtreds brother Ragnar came to his rescue on the beach, my poor Uhtred went through so much bless him, another scene I wasnt happy about was Sigtryggr's death as he had been tricked into fighting and I thought it was so unfair he had to die let alone by Uhtreds sword. I could still happily rewatch from start to finish although the Seven Kings must Die Id of done another season instead rather than the movie.

Halig was a such good and loyal a friend to Uhtred. He really didn't deserve that fate.

Having read the books, Halig's death followed by Steapa's and several others have always sat wrongly with me, even though I fully comprehend the concept of dramatic license 😢🦄

He's not in the books?

@@RealGaIaxy exactly, and Uhtred did not actually witness the death that resulted in the slave's skeleton being in the boat's prow
