Fair play to you lads for doing this repair on the drive but then your more than capable. Say what you like about those eco BOOM Engines every time I drive one I can’t help that be impressed at the amount of power they turn out.

Definitely agree buddy I owned one for 2.5 years and was always impressed but upgraded to a 2.0 TDCI ST focus, cheers buddy yeah it’s a massive job and definitely one for the faint of heart, we thought it would be a great one to show people something that’s very rarely done outside dealership

Never know the gasket to go always a cracked head done loads of them

@bobelable that’s what it ended up being as we sent the head off for pressure testing

Good video, how did you remove the crank bolt ?

It would have been nice to have seen an oil pressure gauge on that before it was stripped down then a test once it was all back together to get an idea on how choked up those oil pumps get .... keep the videos coming though 🙂Regards Andy

Hi Andy, if you check out our videos on the Ford 1.0 Ecoboost oil pump removal and second video on the install that will show you the difference of before and after with the oil light but not delved into the actual pressure readings, because as soon as the light starts taking longer and longer to turn off on these is when the belt needs replacing as the oil pick up is starting to block up, and thank you Andy, we’ve still got the investigation of the head gasket, cylinder liners, block and head and then the rebuild to come, don’t forget to subscribe and hit the bell button to get notifications of new videos buddy

@@MandJAutomotiveI've been a subscriber from the start i just dont say much, ive seen that other video and totally understand it wasnt worth the risk starting a car up with the oil light staying on to make any measurements, it wasnt a criticism your videos learn us loads, but would have been a gauge to see the pressure drop before it got to the oil light stage, especially with the crap in the bottom of that pump

It’s something we’ll look to do in the future buddy, there’s so much we could show we don’t like to overfill the videos

@@MandJAutomotive Yeah i get that, and i know you've both got day jobs, i bet you look forward to a beer when you get the chance
