Dad's 3000 is back in the shop, hopefully for the last time!! He may decide to sell it, but regardless it needs to be fixed!! Power steering is finished and works great finally!!
Aftermarket parts for the power steering systems on these are not what you would be expecting...buyer be warned. Of course I may have messed it up, but sure didn't see any other option myself!!

New Holland part number for the return line is ( C7NN3A713B) . It's pretty salty though at $152.25.

@Pennies_on_the_dollar I went to Messicks website and they have a parts look up on there under New Holland . Type in the model and it will bring up the tractor. Then all you have to do is find the section you need. I use it alot for my 5000 and 5600 Fords.

Good evening nelson. As far as lines go it is usually easier just to go to hydraulic shop and have them built save yourself alot of time and frustration. Good to see it out running and working again.

I used to have guy super close that could whip out anything super quick!! Now it's like a 30-45 min drive to find someone descent. But worth it from now on!! I never did check the OEM stuff, still need to do that!! Called about a generator pulley I broke, they said discontinued, for online they are all over the place, had one the next day. The world is said in the supply chain status anymore😳 Yes sir, so glad that is behind me for sure!! Thank you Ed for always being here, I really appreciate that!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸😁😁👍👍

Just put a new hose on my 3000. Of course I looked online and almost bought metal lines on Ebay but decided to do the hydraulic shop built hose instead. To my surprise it cost $38 and it fit. Started to replace all of them but figured they'd lasted 57 years so far so if it ain't broke don't fix it. I used wire ties and strapped it to the other line on that side. So far so good. It wasn't fun getting the threads started in that cramped space so I deserve a medal. God Bless. NW ga.

I guess I was lacking in that research dept, because I found nothing on metal replacement lines. Gentleman gave the part number , but I couldn't find any that weren't on a backorder. Didn't really check eBay🤔 Well sounds like what you did worked great too!! I can see if the lengths are right and you request the exact bends the hydraulic lines can be just as nicely done as the metal! Yes sir, I know what you mean, there are several others with unions but I will worry about those when the time comes!! Very tight quarters for sure, if you got them in there, you sure do deserve a metal 😁😁😁 Thank you my friend for being here, I really appreciate that!! Hope to see you back again soon!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸

Glad you got it going again Nelson! I've been there fixing threads with a file. I bought a set of thread files once, don't waste your money they were worthless. Our local Car Quest makes my hydraulic hoses and they are able to find a lot of parts like metal lines for me. OReily’s can make hoses as well. Just take your old line or hose to them. They can match up the right length and fittings.

I am a geological oddity...seems I'm 20-25 miles from any descent parts stores. There is a hydraulic shop I use now quite regularly, it's close to my house. So I can just swing by before going to the farm. Used to have a guy like 2 miles from the farm, old school parts man.. catalogs and such. He could make just about any hydraulic line you needed in mins, and get pretty much any part you wanted! Lost a battle to COVID a few years back, and the surrounding community lost a great man and AMAZING parts store owner. All of our "chain parts stores" have young people that don't even know how to run a hydraulic machine. Thank you Russ for always being here, I really appreciate that!! 😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🌱🌱🌽🌽🌾🌾

Hello Nelson. 🙋‍♂️🙂 I have ordered some online aftermarket tractor parts and it didn't always work out well. I like to take the original hose with me if possible when I get one made.
