Ford 3000 tractor first start in over 10 years! Will it run?

In this video I attempt to start my Ford 3000 diesel tractor that hasn't run in over 10 years. I recently acquired this as a non-runner and I'm planning on making it into a working machine.

How about that after all those years !....I have never seen an oil based air filter arrangement...What a lovely project .

I was confident that it would fire up. It is an old diesel, there isn't much to go wrong with one! The oil filled air filter is common for machines that work in dusty environments like tractors.

When an engine hasnt been started for a considerable time it's best to pop the rocker cover and lubricate overnight 👌

yes, agreed. But I took a chance with this one. I wasn't expecting it to start immediately so I knew that there would be time for the oil to reach the top end before it started.

It's called patina! It has certainly led a life 🤣

It was stored inside for 15 years but it has led a hard life.
