Ford 351W V8 - First Startup!!

My 1988 Ski Brendella is finally out of storage, and today I start it up for the first time since winterizing last fall. This is a carbureted ford 351 by PleasureCraft Marine. I can't wait to get this slalom ski season started!

Just came here to say. My Dad had a slickcraft ski boat with same engine. As kids we would get excited to see ppl on the docks jump when he started it up. 😂 The sound of that engine is so amazing. One time this old couple jumped, then the old guy looked at my Dad with a smile, and a thumbs up, so my Dad revved it a little, Good memories...:)

The 351 Windsor was a great engine, most boats have gm engines I wish more were ford powered. My brother and I bought 2 sea rays in 1993, his had a 350 Chevy and mine had the 351, 2400 hours later and mine still runs like a top, he had to rebuild the 350 years ago with way less hours.

Did you remove the mufflers yourself could you please do a video of this day walkthrough of your exhaust setup mine currently has the inverter flow muffler I have the single exhaust out the back. I am wanting to know if I can just straight get rid of the inverter flow muffler and straight pipe it with no issues

hey i have 1985 malibu skier i beleive with same motor 351w , can you tell me the numbers for your spark plugs and wires also the firing order or sparkplug wire diagram

How well does that truck tow that boat? Is it a 5.4? We had a similar setup the other day with same truck pulling a boat with a 351

It pulls it just fine. Slightly underpowered for today's standards, but it does have the 5.4 with the factory tow package, so it does have 3:73 gears, that helps a lot. Love the profile pic! LOL

If you installed a closed loop cooling system you could. Mine draws water from the lake, so I couldn’t In the current configuration.
