Pusher, the company who makes those amazing intakes, they make a coupler that connects to your stock ccv box outlet tube and comes with a 1 inch 6ft hose. So you dont need to remove yours ccv box unless you have the filter model. The new filter less model is a catch can then you connect your outlet hose to the included coupler to the one inch hose, then you cap off the intake. Done in less than 20 mins and you have a catch can. All for $32

I have had both of these since the ICC launched and indeed get no drips, but the smell and smoke are more than I can stand, Im adding in an external catch can w/ venturi tube into exhaust. I honestly get a little embarrassed with the smoke coming up from under the truck that I can see whenever I am sitting idle in traffic or at drive throughs.
@Acjeter52 жыл бұрын
Did you do this? I have the same problem where the smoke caused people to comment so I extended the hose toward the rear of my truck. What would you suggest for prevention of the oil drip

Mine still leaks and it’s leaking at the crack case itself when driving and I made sure to install the o-rings supplied with the kit so it’s not that. Maybe the bolts aren’t long enough to give it a good seal idk
@MarsellusWallace20242 жыл бұрын
Any reason you can’t do this with the existing CCV factory filter and plenum in place? To essentially give you much longer filter life? Seems that a combination of both would still prevent any/excessive oil from reaching the turbo. If this works as well as advertised then there’s no reason to delete the CCV plenum and filter.
@Doc.Holiday Жыл бұрын
The factory CCV Box would not fit on top of this because of the thickness of the flanges. Ford could redesign their box and incorporate a cheese grater like this. That would be a great way to modify future models.
@stanpeach8662 жыл бұрын
why not just plug off the turbo side and an oil hose to the factory box? The factory box is likely going to provide more separation than no separation? Thoughts?

Yes but it also cause excessive blow back in the turbo which in turns pushes oil out the exhaust chamber of your turbo and into your exhaust. This make the truck smoke like a train.

Why does there need to be a hose? Couldn’t you just put crankcase air filter in place of the hose and be good? What’s the purpose of putting a drip hose?
@curtisbull15833 жыл бұрын
Good question, most all older engines just had a filter that was placed right in to the valve cover. Seen several high hp gas engines with them and never seemed to be an issues.
@TheHaggertonFamily3 жыл бұрын
So running this product does that make it safe to re attach the the ccv hose back to the intake of one wanted to no longer have it vented to atmosphere? Reason I have these questions is I understand what you mean when you say it drips I noticed between oil changes I lose about 1qt to 1.5qt but I idle my truck on location for about 12+ hrs a day I have it routed to the exhaust but kinda getting tired of it hazing outta exhaust was wondering if it would be safe to route it back to Intake but with mine being an older model 6.7 they have a higher amount of crank pressure then the 15+ was wondering what your input might be I appreciate it!

@gregnixon12964 жыл бұрын
What kind of hose is necessary for catch can back to intake? The 3/4" heater hose that I used collapses. Heat from the engine makes the hose pliable, and the intake's vacuum pressure causes it to collapse.
@akbychoice3 жыл бұрын
Kits have a heavy wall silicone hose.
@curtisbull15833 жыл бұрын
Is this really needed though, in your last video on their CCV mod you didn't have any oil coming out, so if a guy doesn't have any oil coming out of the vent tube this part is really just a waste of money isn't it?

@Inflikz4 жыл бұрын
@@jbandit2044 i mean ive compared it to other powerstrokes like mine and pulling the oil cap off next to theres with theres off the blow by is the EXACT same coming from the oil cap and is normal, somedays it doesnt even smoke out the ccv but when it does its def noticeable. Ive even asked mechanics and they even said its weird lol.

I’ve experienced the same issue with the internal catch can. I’ve installed on my truck since the launch week and this winter i’ve seen droplets during warm ups. It’s minimal but you buy a product for certain reasons and i didn’t want oil on my drive way where my son plays. I will be adding a external catch can and longer hose to the rear of the truck. I hate the fumes, especially at drive through. I’ve also compares my 2012 85k miles to my buddys 2019 1k miles for blow by and it’s literally the same.
