@@JT2JZ I was gonna say run a fitting that goes in that hose to the exhaust. Drill hole in it have someone weld the fitting onto the exhaust and run your hose to the inside of the exhaust as you’re driving you’ll blow most of that out just an ideal

Run your hose up and over the brake booster so the oil will flow back into the valve cover. I believe spe has directions for the kit they sell that states to run it the way i mentioned.

That is how mine is ran as well and not a lot of excess oil even without the internal catch can so yeah it is worth a shot rerouting the hose
@JT2JZ8 ай бұрын
@caseylee2555 sounds like the routing might be the most important part.
@ShinobiJounin5 күн бұрын
Yes yes yes, routing will play a big role, Think of a plumbing trap. Run over brake booster. Double check venturi/internal catch installation maybe as well.
@-Hammer-5 күн бұрын
The truck is obviously deleted, so it would be easy to route that hose to some metal tubing (Stainless, copper, etc) and tap into your exhaust pipe. you'd never smell it and the oil drips would disappear. Be sure to angle the tie-in fitting so your exhaust flow creates somewhat of a vacuum instead of pressuring up your crankcase. Good luck.

Although its in the comments below, maybe some clarification; there is a SPE Motorsports & a SPE Lab, 2 different companies. SPE Lab sells the knock-off CCV reroute that is also found on Amazon & Ebay with the zip ties & lower grade hose. To add insult to injury they charge a $100 US flat rate shipping fee to Canada for a 3lb box!! The SPE Motorsports reroute kit has the hose better angled to direct it over the brake booster. SPE Motorsports internal catch can, copied by many other, remains the best design. I would never purchase anything SPE Lab again.

Dang. Yeah I got scammed into buying the ccv and egr delete kit from spelabs. The ccv hose became kinked over a couple weeks and caused a ton of smoke out of the exhaust. Just fixed it tonight by realigning the hose, hope it holds up for now but I may have to go with SPEMotorsport kit.

That is not a SPE CCV reroute kit. Theirs is designed differently. You can add a -12an external catch can that you can periodically drain. Google Moroso 85400. That or something similar. Make sure it has large vent to atmosphere filter.

Logic: someone should tell the fan boys that if the delete and internal catch can really caught so much of the oil then you could just put the hose to the engine as it wouldn't be dirty. Wait!!!! than is exactly what ford did and I am sure the ford ccv has way better vapor separation than the spe motorsports or spe lab products. In fact you just pull the hose from the engine of the original ford ccv and extend it to the ground for near free. bwah bwah bum bum bummmm.
