Ford currently has some automatic speed changing on curves as part of the adaptive cruise if you select predictive speed assist. Do you know if the BC 1.4 Update that mentions automatic speed changing in curves will work even if you don’t have predictive speed assist turned on?

@ryk22 It should work as long as your blue Cruise is on.

Are there different pricing for WiFi hotspot in Ford vehicles. I use WiFi hotspot in my Lightning and it costs me $10 a month.
@longmcarthurfordАй бұрын
That is great, so the price has come down. Is that through AT&T?
@RonB2004Ай бұрын
Yes, it is through AT&T.

I have a Bronco Black Diamond mid package ordered. I'm confused about "connected navigation" . What exactly is that? Do I have to get a subscription after a year or else loose all navigation capabilities?
@longmcarthurfordАй бұрын
Correct, you get navigation for 1 year, then you have to sign up for the navigation and premium services after that.
@bertschuh5720Ай бұрын
I'm also being told you only lose the connected features, ie traffic updates etc. However the embedded navigation remains after the year is up?
@longmcarthurfordАй бұрын
@@bertschuh5720 We were not able to use our navigation after 1 year in my Bronco.
@bertschuh5720Ай бұрын
Disappointing! My salesperson told me the embedded navigation stays, it's just the connected that goes away. I certainly won't be paying for a subscription
@longmcarthurfordАй бұрын
@@bertschuh5720 I don't think so. I have the Connected (not Built-in) Navigation which gets 1 year. After that I lost the use of the navigation. So I had to purchase the $80/year service and premium connected service for $10/month.

It's also amazing that Ford can turn features on and off in the blink of an eye, but can't deliver software updates in a timely manner. Ford's software updates reminds me of the fractured updates of Android back in the early days of Android. Another gripe about software. Why when you buy a Lightning from Ford does it still come back with installed software updates dating back to the original 2022 software. Come on Ford, can't you at least update trucks that leave your plant with the most current software.
@mtfanАй бұрын
You should get to keep the software that comes with your car when you buy it in perpetuity for no additional charge. If you want to upgrade to the new software, then I have no issue with charging a fee for that, but forcing updates and charging for those updates is unethical in my opinion because some customers may be perfectly fine with the way things work initially. And what’s the point of having a wifi hot spot in a car anyway? Everyone has phones with unlimited data now including kids. There’s no need for wifi at all. Maybe an iPad for a small child? But in that case I can just tether it to the hotspot on my phone anyway.
