Only the EcoSport and the Vitara Brezza remain in the fight as compact SUVs from Honda and Tata went on sale earlier this year only.Brezza remains the leader, clocking a growth of 49 per cent over the last year. Top 10 Features present in Ecopsort and missing from Brezza: 1. Electronic Stability Program (save lives on highway, for safe turning) 2. Traction Control System (saves you in slippery/muddy/wet/snowy roads) 3. Break Assist (intelligent braking system) 4. Typre Pressure Monitoring system (So that you don't burst your tyre on a highway in summer. Indian weather you know!) 6. Six Airbags (People sitting behind matters too) 7. Hill Hold Control and Hill Assist (So that hill doesn't scare you newbies) 8. Both Android Auto & Apple Car play (Android Auto is yet to come in Brezza) with better screen resolution and User Interface. 9. Greater Build Quality (thuding sound when the door closes.) 10. Anuj Tomar The price difference makes it difficult to compare. But few things are for sure. Nexon Diesel engine is really fun to drive. However I am not a big fan of interiors and quality of Nexon. Nexon has to prove itself, and only "time will tell". For now I can say Nexon has potential with price in its side. With Ecosport the story is different. It's from Ford, so u can be assured that your money is being spent on at a worthy place. The interiors, infotainment screen, exterior SUVish look, great handling and life saving features always makes a GREAT CHOICE. You can go wrong with this car. -Hemant Drive safe!

Great Review. But personally after driving Brezza and Eco Sport old model it took 2 mins to take my decision, I opted for Eco Sport. Apart from 2nd row seat space I have nothing to complain. It is far better than Brezza when it comes to driving experience and handling. Also we always miss the build quality part. Here Eco Sport is far superior. I can write this on a stamp paper as in our family we have both the cars.

@ Glen : The Automatic version does have a paddle shifter, which was not mentioned in the video. Doesn't that make overtaking in highways easy? And another point I thought was even though Ford Ecosport doesn't have Rear AC vents, I think it has best AC throw among its class and it cools the cabin pretty quickly..

If you take the brezza on the highway its like driving a scooty with a body of a 4 wheeler, pretty smooth, will get you there, oh lets say someday. The squeeks and rattles in a maruti are a gift in return you get for your money.

i am driving the new 2017 diesel ecosport titanium plus variant and i am loving every bit of it from cruise control to the handling to the plushness of the cabin... i am feeling like driving a product from audi or merc or BMW after getting behind the wheel really very satisfied with the vehicle in all aspects! even if rear ac vents are missing the cooling is so good that it cools the cabin in less than 15 mins in hottest summer!

All you see inside brezza is cheap plastics and quality.. Bought new ecosport and totally satisfied. Although low torque is an issue but I do not cruise on highways much!

If budget isnt a concern, i would play safe and go for the ecosport (petrol) and the nexon for diesel. Brezza feels dated now but looks the most like an suv

Undoubtedly my favourite is NEXON.... But among the given choices I would blindly chose eco sport not because it looks good or value for money.... But it is much much safer and better than the tin cans from SUZUKI being sold in India under the Maruti badging!!!!!

Ecosport any day. Even though it costs 1 lakh more than the brezza it's worth the money. First the built quality of ecosport is way superior Second ford Diesel engine is way more powerful and refined. Third safety features like 6 airbags, traction control, hill launch assist Interiors are more premium and sophisticated along with an excellent touch screen music system with 6 speakers and a subwoofer And now ford service and maintainence cost cheaper than maruti so ford ecosport all the way

I have the 1.5 diesel with 100 ps.... To be practical vitara can't be compared to ecosport. Because brezza has small engine with less power and has no pickup and also it feels like driving an swift and as we all knw Marathi is weak in its body and has less safety...my friend owns an brezza and he is not happy with the car... People I prefer to buy the ecosport because it has all the feature with the strong punchier engine....and people don't think that ford maintainance is costliest...it's less and good in class in its service...I only notice 1 thing that if u go for brezza u will realize that u have chosen a wrong 1.... Tq....

EcoSport Diesel Top end, best features and safety in its class. Nothing else I'm using it since one month, had a long trip, love it, as everyone says I haven't observed any body roll, cruse control is amazing every car should have this feature In one sentence It's best value for money

You forgot to mention paddle shifters which is a unique feature that is not offered in any car in segment today..... It can help with the problem of overtaking that you have.

Hi,It would have been nice if the built quality and safety features were compared. Ecosport is one solid car compared to an eggshell like Brezza. But we Indians care about graphics ,mileage and touchscreen rather than 6 airbags.

Being Human It didn't fare well than Ecosport, it only got better points due to presence of active safety features on European version, also structural stability and roof strength of Ecosport was way more than Brezza while NCAp tested them, read full report

A much awaited review from PD team. However, this is too late man. I'm planning to buy one but really miss the reclining rear seat of the previous model. You guys confused me by saying that the brezza is getting a petrol engine but, the Ford motor will anyday be better than Suzuki's petrol motor

I found Nexon is more value for money, better looking, powerful yet cheaper to maintain. Wheels of nexon are best looking among these three and overall design too.

I don’t think there will be much difference for safety, Tata’s many cars has been good for safety since many years, TATA vista, which is discontinued had received 3star in NCAP, as well zest has received 4star. So Nexon is latest and more modern design by team TATA. TATA is first manufacturer in India who mentioned crash test report when very few knows crash test concept in country. Safari DiCOR’s 2010 brochure has crash test images, as I remember. So it’s true that ecosports is robust but Nexon wont lag behind friends. Maruti always failed to provide safety every time I found. Material in Maruti is worst in every product. Even now spares of Maruti are not cheap like before and they don’t work long too. Poor quality.

I don't know but I don't trust Maruti over safety . . .as the build quality of steel is not that great, though it may look muscular but in reality is not. Ford on other hand gives option of six airbags and etc and gives a sense of safety when on road. I would therefore pick Ford over Brezza especially due to safety priorities. Cheers.

No comparison of ford with brezza and nexon in terms of driving dynamics and safety. Dear host please don’t misguide people when safety is more important than fancy looks. Maruti sales are only due to ill informed customers they get by selling cheap cars that’s why they are always failed in higher end cars. I always encourage people in my circle for not buying Maruti cars because of safety they provide Correct me if I m wrong.

Ecosport at any given time!! I love driving and i only look at the "Fun to drive" factor in every car.. Eco is far ahead than any of its competition wen it comes to driving pleasure! Generally people stick to a car for 4-6 years or more, and definitely no one (me for sure) would like to stick to a car for that long which is not fun to drive. So, that extra 1 lakh rupees, is definitely worth payin for!

I choosed the new ecosport over the Nexon since the handling and power was way better in ecosport than Nexon. And as for brezza it wasnt even in my list since the company lacks on safety measures is what i feel since the other two give you not only a sturdy built quality but all basic safety measures standard. Feel maruti's built to be more plasticky from distance but the real life crashes and crash test proves how vulnerable it can be.

Anyday it is the new Ecosport that takes the sub 4 metre SUV market, because of the build quality and safety. Everyone of us commonly knows that our safety is first important than anything in life. Moreover, ford cabins are very good in cooling capacity since the AC compressor (CC) is highest in capacity for the vehicles in this price point and they does not require any rear ac vents at all.

I jave gr8 love n respect for PD... but underestimating and stating Nexon lower.. is not acceptable for me.. for practical usage.. in Indian roads and highways.. Nexon is best suited. Guys like you.. made Brezza hyped.

I owned ecosport in 2014 and it always gives a smile upon my face when I drive it. Each and every car has its own capabilities I cannot say that ecosport is the best because it's entirely depends upon the customer. So far I drove for 55000kms believe me maintenence cost is little higher than maruti, hyundai but durability of the spare parts are simply amazing. Ford is known for its Rigidity and superb built quality. So it's up to you this is all I can say.

General servicing is roughly around 6k as of now initially it was 3k and after 60000km it is approx.6.5k

EV SHREENATH ARYA from my point of view its a marketing strategy I believe. Top variant is like an impression. Just like first impression is the last impression. Besides its more reasonable to review top model with all its features coz the engine performance will be the same as the Base model. Also the petrol engine is the new engine so their aim is to promote that.

What one likes in the sub compact SUV will decide which is good for themselves All 3 of them are good but the Most VFM of the lot is Brezza for sure and it shows its VFM nature. The Nexon is little bit more mature VFM package but there are little bit things which Nexon has to accomplish. The best car is Ecosport and it may not seem VFM but it really has a good VFM component. The Nexon looks good has good quality Interiors etc but are they put together well?? Not quite as good as Ecosport. Another area where Nexon clearly is inferior is the petrol motor, ( Fans will tell otherwise) which is not close to the Ecosport. Even the diesel engine and transmission is not as much accomplished as the Euro built Ford's Peugeot partnered TDCi. Just will cite an eg: pull up the rpm to about 4000+ in both Ecosport Nexon and Brezza, then suddenly release the accelerator notice the jerks notice the noise notice the transmission jerks etc, Nexon petrol feels like a alto engine refined little better, Diesel feels far better but still not as good as the a Brezza( Multijet engine with Maruti gearbox has done an excellent job) or the Ecosport. Another reason is the long term reliability with TATA , the perception is changing but still not proven as good as Maruti. So TATA will seem VFM but in my opinion we get only what we pay for. Ecosport is a car which we cannot buy with Head and Mathematics alone it has to be brought with a ❤️ and it will reward in the long run. With improved services and cheaper spare parts from Ford the Ecosport has a good VFM component which is not measurable initially. For those who wanna Drive hard and have a comfy family ride the Ecosport is simply awesome.

I'll choose ecosport for rear mounted spare wheel! Gives muscular look at the same time saves lot of boot space for bassheads like us! I can load my heavy subs and box in the boot and forget about moving it again!

Dear sir, Do the EcoSport 17 inch alloys with low profile tyres have a problem because they get cut or they bulge. This might damage the rim. Should I opt for 16 inchers? Please suggest.

I'd choose the Ecosport over the Brezza. Brezza does not have that "feel good factor" as compared to the Ecosport. Ecosport feels much more plush than the Brezza.I feel quality is compromised on the Brezza. Also the turbo lag in the Brezza makes driving difficult in the city.

Ecosport TITANIUM PLUS AT इस loaded with features and value for money car. AT is just great. Hassle free drive. If one is looking for luxury in compact SUV, ECOSPORT is the name.

Jhansi Ojha if you have recently learnt the driving then please note that driving long car like city isn't going to be easy. Also, it is possible to get scratches and bruises in the first year & Honda parts are not cheap. EcoSport will help you sit higher allowing ease of control.

Nope don’t go for Honda city or an ecosport since you have just learned driving go for a hatch instead fully loaded i20 diesel or the new swift else go for a polo Gt if possible

Sachin BHOGAVI so true he should have said eco sport or nexon... There are lots of complaints with Breeza owners and with same swift engine big NO to me for a car of that size .. I really don't know how it's number one in sales or I hope they are not just inflating the number which caused the stock price to rise 🙄

Yes, this does get paddle shifters and they do work well. But they are purely utilitarian at that. For the time, sometimes we are the last ones to get the car, and that leads to a delay in the reviews! Make sure you hit that Like and Share buttons so that we can get the cars first!

Just ve a high ride, Ecosports will prove he 's the game. Over 7k kms of highway driving, owning a forturner, a GLA and a Innova, I love the driving dynamics and control that ECOSPORTS is been offering at this price point.

All of them are quite good cars. The Vento, with it's stiffer suspension, is better for highway journeys. The City is has a softer suspension, which makes it better for urban driving. The Ecosport is sort of a versatile car. We would suggest you take a back to back test drive of all these cars. It would help you understand which one you like better. Also, do take your family along, they can also you take a decision. :D

PowerDrift Yes a choice that comes out of herd mentality, a choice that ignore safety and prefers big mileage numbers, a choice that prefers few more inches of legroom over a stronger and safer chassis, a choice that prefers fancy sunroof reliability badges over airbags,TCS,ESC,etc..

I would say ecosport any time but if I had money for it then only else at the price point of nexon it's simply better secondly I had driven diesel variants of nexon and ecosport(not in petrol and this only my observation NO OFFENCE) I found nexon is more fun to drive then ecosport(in diesal not In petrol) just my opinion and one more thing brezza only sells now due to Maruti batch on it but still its a sensible but considering the resale value

Glen, how is the torque converter gear box? In D mode I could feel some jerk when I floor it, but when I go soft its revs smoothly. whats ur experience and is it a true value for 14.5. lacs on road? I am looking at City v CVT and Ecosport Titanium AT as option, my usage is close to 1200km/month, city driving. what will u suggest me?

Ford is a Ford maintainence is good but have doubt on Tatas service which way below you don't just buy cars you have to go for periodic service and maintenance tatas are really bad and breeza apollo tyres are not good seen the user reviews he was literally angry with maruti for giving these type of tyres
