How to fix your Ford with dual climate control not blowing out the same temperature

Man you save me a ton of money here!! Ford dealership charged me $815 to change my gear shift level switch. On the very same day, first time for the 10 years we’ve owned the car, passenger heater control stops working. But it’s ok coz Ford will charge me $200 to diagnose the fault which will Probably cost a further $600 to fix!!! Reset the system pressing the two buttons you said to and it instantly works fine!! Need more people Like you buddy, thanks!!!

Thanks so much for this video. Saved me a ton of time. I ended up just unplugging the actuator on the driver’s side (which was the side blowing only cold air) and plugging it back in with the vehicle off, and that did the trick.

It was gonna be pretty weird driving around for a while with a half frosted windshield. Thanks so much for the video, I found the actuator and tried moving it with a screwdriver while it was still connected and it moved the rest of the way on its own and my heats going again!

are your fingers pointing to the defrost and climate buttons simultaneously? Is the climate button the one you refer to as a power button?

Great video. The reset sequence with power and defrost stopped working at the turn of a new season. I pulled the blend door actuator off and can manually adjust between room temp and heat, but can’t get true AC like what’s blowing out passenger side. Any ideas?

Look under the hood at the engine when the a/c is on and look at the a/c compressor, the center of the pulley should click and spin and stop while a/c is on. If it’s not spinning the center while the a/c is on and engine running it could be low refrigerant or bad compressor

I had the same issue and I tried all the recommended video hacks to fix but unfortunately nothing works. I went to the garage and filled the gas and temporarily fixed the issue. They told me there is AC leak so needs to change the evaporator. If the gas is low, the evaporator can’t make the AC full cool and only one side can be sprayed the cool air. Technically This is the genuine case.

This is an awesome video - and I’ve got the glovebox open - pulled the green plug, pushed it back in - no joy Tried to move the white plastic thing but I can’t get it to budge This is the passenger side I’m working on. Any advice or tips much appreciated!

It won’t move if it’s hooked to the actuator, if that’s the side not working the actuator will have to be removed then you can move the plastic thing manually and see it if changes temp, if so then you can run down to o Reilly and they can get you one same day

Hello thank you so much. My passenger side wasn’t pushing out AC so I went through the glove box and flick the switch and the AC started working

My folks have one, and the passenger side temp will intermittently go down by itself. Have to turn the volume knob to stop it, then readjust the temp. Anyone heard of this?

Kinda sounds to me like the control board is going bad. The actual switch board itself. I’d start with that

You can do it manually if you want just unhook it and push it with your hand to go to cooling

Almost every year my heat won't come on. This year same problem, so I monkey punched it but it took several times doing this before heat would come out. Usually about 3 or 4 times and it will work but time I bet it took about 25 times before it would switch over to heat!
