While your doing the fluid and filter also replace the sleeve for the electrical connector. It will leak eventually. Also shift thru all the gears while the truck is running to flow fluid thru the trans. Then check the level. Pain in the butt to get level right. Go slow while filling and dont overfill. There should have been a recall on the electrical sleeve leaking fluid. So much for the lifetime sealed trabsmission.

@Aaron Hines Do you recommend also flushing the residual fluid out of the trans cooler? Most say there is a substantial amount (+2 qts) of dirty fluid which eventually gets recirculated back into the trans/filter if don't flush out through the return line.
@markk36524 жыл бұрын
A flush isn't advisable on these trucks. The residual fluid gets blended with the 6qts of new lv fluid. The filter is massive, and will trap anything circulating in the system. Fordtechmakuloco on youtube backs this up, and he is a very reputable ford technician.
