"Turn yourself on for the seventies." Too late. Half the people watching the video are now in their seventies.

My old man had one. Had the smaller six. The 3.6 ltr 225c.i. Still moved out for a big car. He always talked about dropping a 4.1/250 into her. Ended up writing it off in a stupid accident due to his bad temper. Nearly killed the other driver.

@@batmanlives6456 Transition year. This might have been a later ad referring to the 250 c.i. The V8s were Windsor 302 & 351, & the GTHO Phase 2 was a Cleveland.

Back then cars bore names like Falcon, Valiant, Cavalier, Satellite...now it's "Astra", "Tiida" (whatever the heck that means), "Bora", "Cactus". Geez. Times went from appreciation of the fittest to dictatorship of the least capable and the most frustrated. And no, these days aren't particularly remarkable for people feeling satisfied with themselves.

@@timfordfalconxf7714 I'm Argentine. Falcons were produced here from '64 to '91. Still you see some in the streets, especially in provincial towns. Durable and reliable as battle tanks. I understand the only market that remains for them is Australia and that is cool.
