I would have used a flat rule across the camshaft flats to make 100% they were level. And you might aswell have changed the small.toothed belt going ono he crank aswell.

your camshaft is literally 180 degress off. Your supposed to use TDC when the camshaft piece in the middle is on the flat part. There are three sides that are "flat" but one side that truly is a flat surface is the true way to set timing. You lock it down with a tool when you have the crank tool in place as well as the flywheel tool in place at TDC

My 2013 1.0 Ecoboost has a ticking noise coming from the top of the engine towards the timing belt end. This can be heard at tick over 20 metres away. Not unlike your engine here on start up only louder. Does not appear to get much louder if revs are increased. No warning lights lit up on the dash at any time and no loss of power . Engine appears to vibrate a bit more than it should. Drives fine with no apparent loss of power or other issues. Any ideas how I car quieten down my engine ?

open up starter motor.get something lock the teeth where the fly wheels is..and very strong breaker bar pull.it very hard ....2500nft gun even can not remove it

How did you tighten it? Aren't you supposed to use a new bolt......600nm??

Best way is fir the socket with solid small wrench and cranck the car . As the pulley will move the wrench will stuck somewhere and open it up. Best way to save time and efforts let the starter motor do this work for you

checked your battery it may nearly die so it can not hold full voltages..that why it not work

Maybe the rubber around the fuel cap it tight so I make the noise

Hi. Maybe you know what happen to my 2017 fiesta 1.0 ecoboost, when i drive in the highway at high speed, like try to go more than 4000 Rpm after a few minutes the engine check light turns on, i check the error code and says cilinderhead overheating, sometimes happens sometimes not, but only when i try to go at high speed

Not using the timming tools required on this engine can result on bending valves and engine knocking because it is out of sincronism not a good job

you just used a hone in the cylinder without removing the piston ffs, ive done ghetto repairs but thats plain stupid, theres no need to hone it thats just surface rust the piston rings will eat it on a couple of strokes.

Also that crank bolt is stretch so best to replace it

@@cmcravo there are many other videos on 1.0l timing belt changes. Watch them. This video is so full of mistakes and where he does not show how he removed parts I am sure he made many more mistakes. If you follow this video you will waste your time and money.

The crankshaft pulley has to be tighter than just using a gun. It need a torque multiplier
