Ford Fiesta Mk5-6 / Transit Connect / Mazda 2 Clutch Pedal Linkage Clunk Fix

In this video we look at young Zach's Ford Fiesta as the clutch pedal has started to clunk and click when pressed but the car drives fine - what can be wrong - we take a look ! This is the same setup on the Mazda 2 and the Ford Transit Connect. You need an 8mm shaft clamp to fix this !

When this started happening to me on my old mk6 fiesta the plastic actuator rod was popping off of the pin completely, leaving me with no working clutch at all. very dangerous situation indeed. so was well pleased to come across this video. problem fixed for a fiver! cheers mate

I hope that's what has happened to mine yesterday. It was dark and I had to park on the side of the road, was a long trip home. As soon as I get back there I'm checking this first thing.

It's the same on the Fusion, I had to sort this out years ago on step son's Fusion. Which is just a slightly bigger hatchback Fiesta.

Simon…you have flung me back to 1973 and my new Ford Capri 1600 XL. I had a CLUNK just the same but mine was the plastic bush had split in half. It was two pieces, one each side of the pedal which formed a solid bush over the operating bar….the new bushes were 4p from Ford (!!!) and took me about an hour to fit plus a twisted back and squeezed fingers! Suddenly I’m wearing flares again!!😱😀😀😀😀
