Clutch B is on the bottom directly in line with Clutch A. You can access it from under the car. Also, the actuators are interchangeable so you can swap them to see if the problem follows the actuator to verify the problem.

It’s possible, but it could also be the actuator sticking because of corrosion up in the hole the actuator mounts in. I’d pull actuator A out and examine it. Both actuators are the same part # so you could swap A and B and clear your DTC’s. If it pops a new code for actuator B then the problem is the actuator motor.

2015 Ford focus, sometimes when driving and trying to downshift engine revs and car struggles a bit too downshift. Happens at lower speeds as well. This an actuator issue?
@SilntObsvr5 ай бұрын
My 2015 Fiesta (same engine and transmission, it seems -- 1.6L direct injection, 6-speed DCT) did this on the way home a couple days ago; afterward, I had a check engine light that later read as code P090C and the transmission wouldn't select S or R (wouldn't engage reverse at all, stayed in drive when S was selected). After leaving it sit for a couple days, function was restored, and after getting the code read, the code cleared -- but it appears the intermittent you describe could be caused by an actuator or related wiring issue that's not severe enough to trigger a fault code and check engine light. On the other hand, my car has done this (seem to slip for a second or so) occasionally at low speeds when I change from engine braking to acceleration, ever since new, and three days ago was the first time anything further has occurred or it's thrown a code.

@@ProjectDIY2 ok thanks yeah my car is throwing a code and says it's the clutch position sensor circuit and that clutch a is stuck engaged I'm hoping changing actuators will fix the problem
@01mustang05 Жыл бұрын
Apparently people are spraying in wd40&BrakeCleaner, in where these actuators are, in order to try and clean and lubricate the fingers these things actuate. I've seen a video or two here but it's worth a look I think.

What’s the link? And what are the side effects of spraying these actuators?
@01mustang05 Жыл бұрын
@@Cali_moonshine909 Go do the work to find videos yourself! And what makes you claim that there are "side effects"? - This's a rhetorical question though, because I already know why.

So did this end up being your clutch fork? How much did they want to replace them?
@ProjectDIY2 Жыл бұрын
No, the original problem was the body ground above the battery, it caused the issue with the actuator and I replaced that actuator with a cheap Amazon actuator that crapped out within 1 month. I put the old actuator back on and cleaned the ground and I've not had a problem since.

Need a scan tool that can do the adaption after replacement, pretty sure you shouldn't just replace it without adjusting it
@robertk6ha Жыл бұрын
Word to the wise, apparently the OBD scanner, that code means the module is isn’t moving. Two cars same code, replaced module but still not working

These cars have a manual gearbox transmission that is shifted by a robot. Because manual transmissions are the most energy efficient and nobody can drive one anymore.

I would suspect maybe something with the intake didn't get hooked back up correctly. Thanks for watching!
