Ford Focus electric Fan Installation On My TURBO FOXBODY Mustang!

The installation of junkyard ford focus fans on my turbo foxbody. I also wire in a pulse width modulated fan controller for significantly more fan control on my junkyard ford focus fans.

That is a really cool fan upgrade, I knew that u were eventually going to swap over to the electric fans , I took the lazy way out and mine are hooked up to a relay and a temperature switch on the intake and when it gets 180 degrees they kick on (hopefully 🤪) which my whole setup is a basic easy computerless setup with a few modern upgrades like the wideband and a few other things, but i feel like those will keep her cool and I like the way it runs at a lower rpm if it doesn't need to run wide open. Mine is wide open or nothing 🤣 but that is probably the way ill drive it 🤪🙈. The redneck way you figured out if the fans turned the right way is the only way I roll 🤣 So don't hate on us rednecks, that is the only electrical tools we have is a wire and a 24volt battery so we just touch wires together until it either works or the battery explodes in our face which at that point it kinda tells us that's not the correct way to hook it up 😂😄😆🤣🤪

Is there a way to run the Pwm controller without using the mega squirt?

Definitely! You don’t need Megasquirt the Holley EFI will control it as well most standalone s will run the controller I’m not sure about using without a standalone though I’ll do some tea search. I’m going to make a video about the setup in the standalone so I’ll see if I can find an answer for that as well!

05-09 was 12v, ‘14+ focus are brushless and can be PWM without a controller but either way be aware Ford had 25A fuse each based on their super efficient single core radiator and AC condenser so the more cores/restriction its pulling thru then the more end amp draw it will have. One fan should be plenty to cool your engine unless you will be road racing lol. Killer job saving money and using factory parts available everywhere👍🏻👍🏻

Got it! I think I’m going to swap down to 25 amp fuse as well! And thanks you were very helpful in your other comments for good ideas in for electric fans I really appreciate it 🙏🏻 and definitely gotta save the money where you can! 😂

@@iamchazhaynes7074 man im always about using factory parts when i can for ease of replacement parts on the road, now my 65 f100 would be a contradiction to that claim since the drivetrain came from Australia lol
