I couldn't help myself I went out and cranked up my old ford in the snowbank. 91 f150 heavy half short bed with the old 300 inline. it hasn't run for over a year. we only have a foot or so on the ground here so i didn't shovel. dropped in a battery she lit off before the battery died :D locked her in 4 wheel and took a joyride thru the fields. she is my repair project in the spring :)

love all the old Ford trucks ,the only thing missing is a Bronco. Wish I would have kept all the one I owned ,but the 76 highway I drove from Alaska to Oklahoma was one of the nicest. thanks for the videos.Wade

Amazing battery to handle that much cranking in that low temp. Glad it ran, brakes are over rated anyway. Hard to start because the muffler bearing was frozen. Thanks for sharing.

Here in Ontario Canada we don't have quite the heavy winters you Alaskans do. I remember one cold winter morning when no vehicle in the yard would start except my Dad's old rusty truck. The look of pride on his face was priceless. He actually bought rust coloued trucks cause it saved time.lol

Love your channel! Awsome hard work on awsome vehicles. I live in tropical Brazil but I've been vacationing in Alaska back in 2002, driving from Anchorage all around the state. Had a good glimpse on what is living up there in the wilderness with scarce resources. Glad to see someone young like yourself with the guts and into old iron including Ford trucks and WW2 stuff. AM into old iron too, including Fords too. Cheers from Brazil. Keep up the outstanding job!!! 💪💪💪🏆🏆🏆😎😎😎👍👍👍

my memory of living in tropical fargo nd the hood for my 67 mustang was on back order from ford so all winter I drove it without a good . it was parked outside not plugged in and every morning at 7:30 am I get in it and turn the key pump the throttle 3 times and it would fire right up. my o to her cars even plugged in and the engines full of warm water didn't like to start at -40 . but my hoodless unplugged 289 always fired up. it would take a can of windshield deicer each day because the heater core and fan were also on back order . yes I was driving at -,40 with my window down to help keep the windshield clear . I don't miss the snow and cold a bit

this is living proof of how reliable old ford trucks are! I watch your and peg's videos and these old and beat to hell olf ferd trucks just fire right up! Hell the green highboy barley has any cab or straight bodywork yet will fire right up and drive! its amazing! I love my shitty 1994 f-150 RCSB 4X4 5.0 5 speed! its a tank and I love it!

Damn that was one hell of a cold start. Lots of long cranking and pumping that gas pedal. Those old Ford pickups hate the cold. There are really cranky when they sit for a long time. Awesome video. Hope to see more. Thanks for sharing.

A stove pipe under the pan would of been quicker as I'm sure its not wearing a alaska necktie. I kinda was surprised it didn't hit quicker.... I think that the points were a tad damp and not sending juice to the plugs always..... Which was fords biggest mistake, the 300 six, any FE block engine or the 7.3 diesel? Everyone of them that had oil on the crankshaft was or is still running... frigging okies really diggem!
