Got a 2.5L FHEV a couple of weeks ago and so far I couldn't praise it highly enough. Economical running, smooth ride and plenty of space for a family of 4 and a crazy spaniel. Wholeheartedly concur with AJ - give it a test drive if you're in the market for a SUV. Thanks for the review.

im currently running my 2nd kuga previous 1.5 zetec diesel and now in a 22 plate 1.5 eco blue both rock solid i would love to upgrade but no diesel sadly huge mistake in my opinion the kuga is too highly priced so id disagree with comments made about price being good if you buy the 40k plus model you have 5 five years at £560 in the higher VED range so adding a near 3k to your price im sticking with my diesel as i believe diesel is king PHEV wil go the same way as Full EV and we know what a disaster they are turning out to be

The lack of a proper parcel shelf putting me off right away. Also I prefer diesel engines more mpg and plenty of pulling power and no mess about with cables plug-in to mains electricity if a wanted a roomie Car, I will buy Skoda superb estate

To be honest even if you go for the FHEV which would require no cables it’s easy to achieve mid to high 50s mpg….which isn’t bad for a car of this size.
