Great work man! I have a Kuga with the same MMT6 transmission which has a bit of play in between the input shaft and driveshaft output to the weels. Turning the driveshafts by hand back and forth I can hear a little clunking in the gearbox in neutral stage. I see your gears have something similar (at 4:25 and 10:44) however the house is not put together yet. Do you feel this little play by driving your car when you off from accelerator and speeding again mainly in lower gears? Thanks!

Thank you so much man! People like you are my motivation to do more. That play you have mentioned in my observation which is due to, these two main shafts and counter shaft need to be in the cage to rotate together without play. The bang you hear in low gears might be the dual mass fly wheel which bangs in my Mondeo also.

Could be, but mileage 30.000km does not make it likely. I believed that the axle shafts should not be able to turned even a very little. Differential somehow looks a bit loosy, turning the axle shafts by hand I hear the clunking in the gearbox in neutral. Also when the engine is stopping and the clutch is engaged I hear some clunking at almost zero engine speed but when the clutch is disengaged no clunking at all, engine stops smoothly. Can it be a faulty DMF? Thanks!

​@@tomclever106830k seems very low for the dmf to go bad. In my experience axle shaft has a play as usual. as per your statement about clutch I feel like is it the slave cylinder or DMF? Try to lower the gearbox and have an inspection. Good luck man.

Thanks for sharing your opinion, I am trying to google a bit more what the source of rattling noise can be before I touch the tranny deeper. Kuga owners used to have similar experience of the same issue so lets search for it a bit further 😉

Привет. Имею форд с такой же проблемой в коробке передач, при нажатии на педаль газа происходит незначительный толчок/стук/удар, при отпускании тоже самое. Если нажимать на педаль газа медленно то этого толчка почти не слышно. Мне кажется это механизм дифференциала требует замены.

Meu câmbio desse modelo na ecosport faz barulho em ponto morto, ja troquei os rolamentos internos, volante bimassa mas o barulho insiste, só para quando piso na embreagem, será que posso colocar um óleo com especificação mais grossa, o 75 w acho muito fino para o Brasil sendo um pais muoto quente, percebo que com o câmbio frio não faz barulho, quando aquece faz
