I think you may have gotten your power specs wrong for the Mustang. From the looks of it it's a 2015 to 2017 model year. Somewhere in there. That also means it should have 435 HP and 400 Lbs of torque. Unless they sale them differently in Canada. Either way it was quite an entertaining set of races!

Dual single exhaust straight not slanted taillights, straight square cut headlights also he doesn't even use built in launch control. This is gen 2 coyote. Gen3 coyote with 3.73 stock rear gears will hurt that Ferrari feelings. I've beaten an f430 with my gen 3 and it's on 235 18s (winter setup)

No lift shift is for people that can't drive manual. The fastest manual drivers explain this. You WANT a tiny bit of clutch slip so it doesn't effect inertia of the drive train. No lift shift shocks the drive train everytime. ESPECIALLY the glass transmission in mustang gt. Mt82 trash I have one. If you nls bang gears instead of finesse those shift forks will nope the heck out.

Those f430’s run a 11.9 quarter mile at 121 mph stock. They were fast for 2005. Stock gt’s run a mid 12 at 115. But like the owner said this gt is slightly modded.

The Mustang has a performance clutch. That has nothing to do with how fast it’s running. A performance clutch is installed to support quicker shifts, that’s it. No power mods were added to this 5 OH. That Gen 3 Coyote could handle about 300 more HP than stock on the stock clutch. The 18’-20 ‘ Stangs with 460 HP and 420 torque ain’t no joke. Ask me how I know….

Yes. The 10 speed automatic is half a second quicker in the quarter mile as opposed to the MT82. The automatic would've finished first in a couple.

Sam, upon further review, it appears that 5 OH is the Gen 2 Coyote with 435 HP and 400 lbft of torque. It’s a 2015-2017. Peep the exhaust yo, it’s dual not quad tipped and the front end/hood are different than the 18’-23’ 5.0’s. It’s still an S550 but not the fastest S550. If you bring out an 18’-21’ Mustang 5.0 it will have 460HP and 420 torque and it will also have the quad tipped exhaust and it’s hood will be sloped at a greater angle for better aero and the headlights are different too. Bring out the Gen 3 Coyote I just mentioned in the A10 trans and it beats that tired F430 for sure. Thanks for the race though. This is super interesting and it supports how amazing the cars mad today, in this case 2015 and forward for the Mustang, how well they are built. We are living in the Golden age of performance cars when a 7 year old FORD Mustang can dust a 10 year old Audi R8, great time to be into performace cars. Also makes me proud of American ingenuity. Enzo Ferrari would be rolling in his grave to see this FORD at 1/6 the price nipping at the heals of his Ferrari. Awesome stuff

We also see many viral videos of newbies getting these powerful cars and driving them into polls.. apparently these inexperienced drivers can pick them up for a cheap price.. so first thing they do is floor it with trcs off and stability off 😂 Also I would like to point out... even automatic muscle cars from the dig can't seem to put the power down. all in all.. they are great value for money, plus parts/labors are cheaper, sure might not match the Germans on performance/quality or the Japans on reliability.

Stock for stock it's interesting to see this lineup I feel the reason the r8 fell behind is the lack of torque it's more of a peak HP engine. The coyote has torque and power so it's more broad throughout the curve. That Ferrari is still quick!

@@PapiAndrey Yeah even a 10r80 would get gapped. People are taking average f430 quarter mile times vs pre prepped tested 10r80 times as an argument here. A 10r80 is not breaking under 12s in the real world without slicks. A healthy f430 can break under without much issue assuming the driver knows what he’s doing. The mustang is getting gapped by at least 3 lengths all things equal. 6 speeds by at least 8, hence only competitive fbo.

That’s a Gen 2 Coyote. It’s 435hp, port injection only. The Gen 3 Coyote comes with 460hp because it has dual fuel injection: port and direct injection.

With the Mustang GT using it's driver who knows how to roll it's gears. The Coyote powered GT is impressive. Even with more weight and Less horsepower it finished 2nd just behind the Ferrari. Then consider pricing and it's hands down the best bang for the buck. The more I see the Mustang GT in these performance test. The more I realize how impressive it is in looks and performance.

The Mustang in THIS comparison has 435hp/400 torque respectively.....Had this in fact been the actual 460hp version, we would've undoubtedly seen a quite different outcome!
