Very nice! It’s amazing that Ford wouldn’t have the high performance variants of its engines like the voodoo already with upgrades oil pump gears. The coyote and voodoos are stout engines with the oil gears being one of the very few weak spots! Great job!!

Thanks! Did you actually take off the rtv at the 4 points of the oil pan and reapply rtv- how? Theres no room!

Yes of course if you drop the k member it’s a hell of lot easier but I love a challenge

I would boost a gen 1 voodoo but yes if you boost any mustang YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED OPGS

@@DeterminedVeteran I just had ford put in a new engine in my 2017 GT350 in October right before storage season here in MN the engine is a September 2021 build date. I am trying to figure out if the pump gears were upgrades like the rest of the engine but I can’t find any info. Didn’t want to go through all that work if I don’t need to to install my whipple 3.8

So they put in a Gen 2 motor more than likely… definitely would recommend OPGs none the less great insurance good luck w your build

Not on a stock one with a warranty ... if it breaks after you upgrade the OPGs ford won’t touch it

did you say $1800 job? sounds high for opg/crank gears. it's a lot of work though. great vid.

It calls for 15 labor hours just depends on the shops price per hour

The GT350R its more like 1520 at our dealership. I don’t charge that much when I do it on the side. It is quite a bit of work though. On the gen one and gen two coyotes you don’t have to drop the oil pan. On the gen 3 coyote and voodoo engines you do so the labor is higher on those. Your looking between 1200-1800 depending on shop hourly rate.

Speed Addict 731 good afternoon my 2019 R has a small leak from the rear part of my oil pan do i gotta drop the k member to fix ? What are your thoughts. I mean its under warranty but i hate leaks
