We review the new and most powerful Mustang ever, Shelby GT500. With a price tag of around $90,000 the insanity of the horsepower wars continue. We talk with Ford Engineers to deliver all of the technical details and more to make this one of the more detailed videos on the car. If you want to try and drive this before buying you can hit up @xtremexperiences to scratch that itch. We will be working with them on future videos. To get a discount use code: PREMIUMGEESE
We get ZERO kickbacks from this FYI. Regardless this car has a similar price to a Corvette C8, Porsche GT4, Lexus LC500 and several more.

I got invited as a guest for their shelby GT500 track attack, my room mate's dad owns one, he gave the pass to his son and he then invited me a guest. This car is something amazing, I got to do a ride-along and it's incredible how well it performs. I currently own a 2020 Hyundai Elantra GT N-line so I've never really experienced a fast car, I never knew what these cars were capable of, or really any capable car. I remember being slammed around in the seat with a full harness and helment and we've hit speeds of up to 150mph on the track and the brakes felt like we got back down to a slow speed within a few seconds.

Where does it end is right. 1000hp Challenger? 800hp C8? Musclecar era 2.0 is an amazing time to be alive. The only problem here is affordability. Back in the late '60's, a monster engine was a reasonable upcharge. These beasts are so expensive hardly anyone can afford them. I just hope that whoever can afford a car like this doesn't park it in a garage for 10 years and try to make money on it because it only has 28 miles on it like some jerks are doing with Ford GT's. Drive the snot out of it and let others on the street enjoy your car, if only for the roasted Michelin aroma.

Weight is the enemy of performance. This is one of the first times where engineers decided to leave the weight in the vehicle and remediate the issues with counter-measures. I admire the Ford engineers for making a 4200 pound car perform decently on the track. I won't second guess the folks at Ford. I drive a first generation BMW M2 which is the polar opposite and designed for the track. I'll just say they accomplish the same thing.

A Miata would be the polar opposite. Your M2 and the GT500 share a good amount in common with how they operate.

Good point. Ford was trying to make the car work respectably on the street and not be so fragile. It will take time to measure their success, but the decisions they made make a lot of sense.

This was a great video. I've had 14 mustangs, and I am getting a GT500 this winter. I have a 16 fbo s550 now and I love it. But this is a lot more car. Love the way you answered some of the more technical questions. Thanx

@@timothycc711 An automatic is great for performance, too. Humans can't shift as well as this, nor any smoother, so easier on the car. Also better for fuel economy, not that those words should be used around this car.
