I put Powerstop heavy duty on my 2015 Ram 2500 at 100,000 miles when rotors were due. They were better than OEM. Driving the hills of WV daily, towing sxs and 4 wheeler on 18 foot trailer and never a problem. You will be pleased.

My brakes on my 2018 Tucson with 40,000 miles looked wonderful when I flushed the brake fluid. One thing I did do while there was remove everything and relubicate everything especially the sliders so now good to go! 👍💯❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I've been using Power Stop Z23 pads on their drilled and slotted rotors on various vehicles for about 10 years with great success. My pads had a different break-in process that's printed on the inside of the box that's much more aggressive. Looks like you have their Z17 pads
@BeardedFordTech
@BeardedFordTech 4 ай бұрын
@axl151 yeah whatever they sent me. Dont know which pads they are. Drilled and slotted would be a waste on this truck. . That is the burnished procedure inside the box. Surprisingly that's how I do it anyway. As long as it's burnished. After the 30/30/30 your supposed to do 1 aggressive stop.

Is Powerstop worth it? The short answer is YES. The brake pads that they include in the kit are good. Follow Burn-In instructions and you've got a good street setup. It absolutely makes a difference where I live in the hills around SW PA and into WV where I travel for work. When it came time, I replaced the pads with a set of Akebono made in Japan. -Installed on my 19' Toyota Camry on all 4 corners.

Lost all braking on a mountain with their pads. The frictions would crumble as they were being removed. Ultimately, they blamed me/the vehicle saying I had overheated them. Oddly enough, same thing happened to a few friends vehicles. None of us use their products anymore.
@BeardedFordTech
@BeardedFordTech 4 ай бұрын
All of us that use them haven't had the problem. Can't say yet as they have only been on my truck for about 100 miles. Which ones were you using? Just curious. They have different kind. Like just normal street kind tou can't drive it like a race car.

@BeardedFordTech
@BeardedFordTech 4 ай бұрын
@TXCherokee they sent them to me for free. But. Id still gladly pay what they ask for them. And that website has a discount going on for powerstop. And if ypu click the coupon link you can get an extra 10% off. You have to pay for good quality. Your paying for the superior product. Thays like going to Walmart wanting Tommy Hilfiger and wanting to pay Walmart prices. If you want a product you have to pay for it. Otherwise your just going to spend more money replacing cheap pads all the time. Brakes is one of those things where if it's a good quality item price shouldn't matter. It's literally how ypu stop. You want good braking performance. Not brake fad or no brakes at all.

Hey buddy off topic question I have a 2018 ford transit350 with a P0137 and I’m trying to figure out what the expected voltage reading for pin 3 on the oxygen sensor for the secondary low current ground. I’m reading 2v doing a check between ground and pin 3 and just wanna make sure it’s not a short
@BeardedFordTech
@BeardedFordTech 4 ай бұрын
@Supra_Mickey 0.9 volts or higher. Voltage increases if mixture becomes rich. If you got anything over 1 volt and fluctuates abnormally high then the sensor is bad. Also check for an exhaust leak around that sensor or just before it. I'm willing to bet the sensor has failed.
@Supra_Mickey
@Supra_Mickey 4 ай бұрын
@@BeardedFordTech ok I had the oxygen sensor unplugged and was reading 2 Volts and didn’t know if that was a bad ground or if that was normal. I’ll double check live data but I’m leaning towards the sensor and not wiring problem
@BeardedFordTech
@BeardedFordTech 4 ай бұрын
@Supra_Mickey not really known for wiring problem. I would plug it in and monitor thay sensor. Wait for it to go into closed loop and watch the voltage. If it's within range 0.1-1.0 it's good and start checking for an exhaust leak. If it goes above 1 it's rich. Fluctuating a lot it's the sensor.
