Please note there is an error at 0:49. The MY25.25 Ranger Raptor does not come with ventilated front seats. Apologies!

In the U.S., the Ranger Raptor is the best mid-sized truck in the market all things considered. People are walking away from the Toyota Tacoma because of the high price, 4 cyl hybrid motor and all the plastic in the interior. The Aussie developers did a great job on this truck.

Had my Raptor for 2yrs now. Combo of city and regional driving, Fraser and Moreton Island camping trips plus a 5000 km Simpson Desert Trip. I've owned many cars and utes, including Euro's. This is a vehicle that puts a smile on your face every time you push the start button. It has bucket loads of power and rides like a 'magic carpet'. The faster you drive on the beach or dirt roads, the smoother the ride. If you want to buy a BYD Shark instead pick yourself up a fluffy dressing gown and some slippers as well because you are halfway to the nursing home. If you want to 'live a little' and enjoy your driving....get a Raptor. Simple.

Ventilated seats? Think you made a mistake there
@vl3pv-e4n5 күн бұрын
Yep, no cooled seats on Raptor, only heated, which is a shame. If Hyundai can put them in a 30k car dont know why Ford can't in an 100k car. Makes so much difference in summer.

I wonder if you would criticize a Ferrari for not being able to tow and have poor fuel economy etc? Just the same as how you would confuse the purpose of the Ranger raptor, 400hp, over 2 ton, which is built to smash the dirt tracks at high speed and cope easily with jumping. It has never been targeted as an all round ute.
@bradcollin70715 күн бұрын
it was purpose built for high performance off road, why we even talking about towing and payload???? if you want that you get a Ranger Wildtrack!!!

It amazes me that people put so many after market extras on these vehicles. All that does is inhibit the incredible performance of the truck

Because someone may like the aesthetics of a Raptor and not understand the limitations of its towing. He has to review the vechile as a whole

I've had my Raptor for just over a year now. No issues with it at all. It's great as a daily driver, I average about 600km to a tank. Once you start putting your foot down a bit though it gets pretty thirsty. Definitely agree that it's not a touring vehicle though. I've got a small camper trailer for a few days away and that would be about the limits of it. Apart from that it's a beast of a car and I love it.

I’ve got one of these, had it for over a year now from a v8 Land Cruiser dual cab. - it’s too ‘bitey’ driving around town with the twin turbo compared to the chilled out diesel style of driving. I’ve got another twin turbo diesel euro car and it also has a relaxed mode when you don’t want to push it, this just doesn’t let you relax. - visibility is really bad for both town and off-roading without the cameras. Another form of stress on the road. - cabin quality. So many small parts have broken and been replaced like switches in a year versus years of the other cars with no issues under similar use. It’s an awesome car for the price, always put a smile on my face daily, just don’t expect it to last like a nice euro or older Land Cruiser. I just tell myself I’ll trade it in every few years to avoid any major issues.

Good review, we have ordered the Ranger Wildtrak v6 over the Raptor, while being an amazing off-road vehicle Ford should have had the v6 diesel as an option in the Raptor. Of course the payload also factored in as the Wildtrak tows 3500 kg and loads close to a ton in the bed. I do believe the pricetag is justified though, we did not opt for the Wildtrak due to pricediff. Cant wait to get it in January 😁

Watched some guy with one off road with 800km on it go over some big dunes at Bellingham in Tas. Seriously impressive it was bonkers and you can keep your Shark, if I could afford the Raptor it's worth it to hear the snarl with some RPM on it.

There’s no visible perforations in the front seats in this video for heated & ventilated front seats, so I just checked out features & specifications for the most recent MY25.25 update & sure enough - no heated & ventilated front seats listed.

I have to say it ... a Raptor at $95k+ compared to a BYD Shark at $60k and as much as I love the Raptor, the Shark is just such good value I think it makes the Raptor look pretty ordinary. Those back seats are a disgrace, the around town fuel economy is atrocious and the tech is starting to age already ... maybe a version 2 Raptor will bring some innovation?
