If you run out of gas, use it to put gas in the tank. The new Fords and Lincolns come with a "capless gas tank." You can put gas in without the funnel, but it messy. GREAT QUESTION! I'LL DO A VIDEO ON IT. I DID DO A VIDEO ON THE LOCKING GAS CAP. I'LL LINK IT BELOW.

@JimVincitore thanks++, sorta gave me another thing to tackle but I meant where's it supposed to go under the spare tire, I think my previous owner used it for oil, I'll look into the caplets fuel door though because mine actually has a code for the capless fuel door sensor so potentially maintenance could help

In the video at 19:12 I show where I found my funnel, it clips right under the back ledge. I had heard previously though, the funnel and spare tire did not come with the Taurus...but mine did. That's why I did a video on it. You don't really need the funnel, a regular gas can I think would work. I put Lucas gas treatment in my tank right from the bottle, it goes in, but it's a little messy. On the gas tank cover, I oiled up the little hinges that hold the inner seal, jusrt a few drops. Then on the outside cover, I put a thin layer of motor oil on the rubber to soften it up.
