You do realise you can just slide the oil pump drive pulley off the end of the crankshaft don't you? Saves removing the oil pump from the engine (unless you were removing it for disassembly and cleaning!)

Originally 150k miles or 10 years. But due to numerous failures now recommended to be 50k miles. Expect a bill of £1,100 plus vat once you add oil pump belt and other items. But then an engine replacement could be £8k! Failed design, best to avoid vehicles with this engine. There is a good reason Ford are now heavily discounting these vans in order to sell them, as the major fleets have stopped buying them due to Ford not covering costs of failures. If you have one, make sure service record is 100% to time and mileage and ensure the oil grade is listed on the invoice, as otherwise Ford Warranty will try to claim incorrect oil grade caused the fault.
