Ford Transit Custom 2.2 Repeated DPF & MAF Fault After Replacing Various Parts

various parts replaced on this van without finding a solution.
Blocked vaporiser replaced & DPF cleaning done. found damage on air flow sensor harness.
fault codes:
P246C:00-AF Particulate Filter Restriction Forced Power Limit
P2463:00-AF Particulate Filter Soot Accumulation
P24A4:00-AF Particulate Filter Restriction Soot Level Too High
P0104:00-24 Mass Or Volume Air Flow Sensor Circuit Intermittent

Great videos. Very helpful. Thanks. Have you had an issue with intercooler air temperature sensor on these vans? I have had a engine service light after driving for a hour or so, with no loss of power and doesn't go in to limp mode, which disappears when the ignition is turned off and no error codes. Took out the sensor to test it, got about 10 Omhs. Apparently a new sensor reads about 18 Ohms. But noticed the sensor was cover in oil.

Ive had that a few times over the years jimmy with the thermal cut out kicking in and obviously discinnecting the battery sometimes does and does not work but reseting the egt value does usually work on the 2.2. Whats your opinion on the thermal cut out ? Is it an indication of an already damaged dpf or damaged sensor? Regards mate.

Jimmy, if your car is running with a partially blocked DPF (But no check engine light), will it effect the fuel economy/efficiency of the Engine

Maybe slightly less mpg buy shouldn't be more than 1-2mpg

Hi mate been looking at these 2.2 vans on a 16 plate but was told by a mechanic to stay away due to issues? Can you offer any advise on which is more reliable the 2.2 or the 2.0 version of the Custom?

Best van of this size on the market in my opinion. All vans have problems but you have to find what has less problems. These 2.2 are good but the newer 2.0 eco blue not as good

@O'Rileys Autos did one last week no code other than soot accumulation . Uses normfest cleaner but I reckon the launch stuff is better got the pressure down to around 2kpa
