Great video detail. I am getting ready to install my espar heater under the passenger seat of my Transit van. So timely information for me. My one comment is regarding your exhaust pipe out location. It looks like the outlet location may discharge carbon monoxide under the van. I believe it should go past the outside wall a couple inches for safety. I may want greater separation distance between the air intake and exhaust for the same reason. Look into it as It is worth considering! Far Out Ride discusses on his website as well. Keep up the good vid's, it is appreciated by all of us just getting started. Today I start my floor installation.

Thank you for that observation - good point. It may not be obvious in the video, but the exhaust does go to the inside edge of the van. Good points- will take this into consideration moving forward. Good luck on your flooring!

Under the seat mounting looks like a nightmare on every level… I was going to do it but found a much better location for my needs

where did you fit it?

The driver's side - forward of the wheel well - will be boxed in. It was so easy to run the fuel line, and exhaust vent.

really detailed work... nice My question is, why didn't you use the kit for the extra port? all the video's I have seen use that. i just installed that port and now I am no sure I did the right thing

Thank you for the comment! Are you referring to the fuel line tap add-on port?

STOP!!! Everyone who hasn't installed their standpipe yet, please read this!! I just installed my stanpipe and had lots of trouble making it fit. It was looking good until I tried to install one of the fuel lines. I just managed to squeeze it on by turning a qurarter turn. All of these problems could be avoided by buying the Espar/Webasto straight fuel pipe. Do not buy the one with the U shaped curve because the fitting that screws into the top of the sender is way too big!!! You can avoid the problems shown in this video and the ones I made by gettong the right standpipe. I almost destroyed my sender by using the wrong standpipe. A new one costs almost $500.00

Thanks for the update to the installation. We have had ours installed for almost 2 years, and have had zero issues with our system, but if I had to do it again we would definitely use your recommendation. Thanks for the info!
