Thanks alot man my truck hasn't turned off on me since I did this it still idles a little rough at low rpms but won't die which is a big improvement thank you

Terence, I’ve got a 2004 F250 5.4L that just started idling at 2,000. I watched a vid which showed how to isolate the problem to the IAC by pinching off the hose that goes from the air intake (just before the throttle body) to the IAC. I pinched it and the idle went down, which tells me the IAC valve must be stuck open. I then found your vid, and was happy to see I might not have to replace the IAC. If you have any thoughts about whether a high idling condition could be because of a stuck valve, I’d appreciate your input. In any case, I’m gonna give your recommendation a try. I’ve only watched two of your vids so far, but you do a great job of explaining the details and getting good camera angles, plus I can see you know your way around the Triton engines like a boss! Thanks for the great information my dude! I’m subscribed! 👍 Btw, I live in western PA, and I understand the hassle of working on cars in cold weather. It sucks! 😂

Yep, this should help for a while however, eventually it will come back. I am dealing with this right now on one of my trucks. It's running perfectly, but humming! Lol. I will eventually swap it out given the fact that it's a fairly easy job. Thank you SO much for watching my content. I really appreciate it.

Occasionally I'll run no alcohol gasoline a half a tank or so through my truck with a 5.4. It used to sputter at sometimes going down the road. It was almost like there's a problem with the transmission. Hit a steep grade I just press the trailer tow button.And it would work fine. One day I pulled into a gas station and no alcohol gas was cheaper then what is now the standard alcohol gas. So I filled it up and wow!! Be cut through all of it I just kind of from that point on would put it half a tank of no alcohol in there are more. And I have not had that problem for a long time and only recently just put in another three-quarters of tank and no alcohol gas ⛽. Because yes it's worth fifty cents a gallon more and besides I got 3 more miles to the gallon going down the interstate so I burnt less gasoline so there wasn't that much difference in overall cost on that trip for fuel ⛽. I'm just saying it's worth a try. And I've talked with other people who have done this too. Mine is a 2010 Ford f250 four-by-four super duty. There's also a misfire that's common with this engine and it dates way back. Well I have to get up and around so I'll finish watching your video a little later when I have a break. I like your straightforward here it is approach.

@@TerenceDIY but thank you for sharing the information on that sensor or solenoid. I'm just now going to watch the rest of it. That works with other vehicles especially Ford V8 straight gas no alcohol.

Sounds like you got a big cam in it.... But it's really just running like ass when you start up a modern engine and it sounds like a 1967. Something ain't right
