I am still working on my health. About 35 years ago I had a triglyceride level of 1,250. I was not diagnosed with type 2 until about 15 years after that. I will be 70 in June.
@earlymann195411 сағат бұрын
I have lived with high triglycerides for as long as I can remember. First diagnosed at age 30, at a level so high they couldn't get a proper reading of them, over 3,500! It seems I have inherited this condition from someone in my family, perhaps father. This was discovered in 1985. In 1999 I was diagnosed as diabetic. I was put through complete physical exams every two to three years by my employer (State Dept) and diabetes was not discovered until 1999, but triglycerides were caught in my pre-employment physical, and tracked throughout the years. I have never, even until now, experienced high blood pressure though. If I severely restrict my diet, I can get blood sugar to a normal level, but triglycerides are another matter. Best I can do is still about 4 to 5 times high normal and that's with medicine! I'm 70 now.

I found out some time ago that Braggs bought all of their ACV from a major producer and that this producer bought out Braggs. The producer sold their ACV at 7% and Braggs was always 5% which has been the standard. 7% is the standard for pickling. As well Braggs still has the Mother in their ACV - Seen this with my own eyes every time in my local health food stores

I was T2D for 14 years before I found LCHF living. I had retinopathy & so many metabolic syndrome issues. Several years later and NO evidence of retinopathy ever. So impressed my optometrist he’s eating like me - what a compliment! Personally though I put the eye health down to omega 3. Since covid infection I’ve found glucose management and fat burning much more difficult. I’m sure the beta blocker for the heart arrhythmia resulting from LC stops me accessing ffat as fuel efficiently. ACV has always been a daily addition to my LCHF lifestyle - should I raise the daily ACV intake.

@@PrevMedHealthWorked for me too. Antacids dont solve the problem, which is stomach pH being too high, which causes the acid reflux. Antacids only Alleviate symptoms but make the problem worse. @gloriamaryhaywood22176 сағат бұрын

Dr. Brewer’s case isn’t unusual. My doctor monitored my HbA1c. When mine reached 6.3, that was a warning of pre-diabetes. I was warned to quit ultra-processed foods, eliminate added sugars, and reduce carbs to less than 50 grams per day. Eat unprocessed meats/fish/chicken, whole fruits, and cruciferous vegetables. Result: HbA1c dropped to 5.2, triglycerides dropped to normal, and lost 85 pounds over two years. It is possible to reverse metabolic syndrome and pre-diabetes with diet and lifestyle. But it becomes harder to do once you have diabetes. Your mileage may vary. And yes, ACV was part of my journey.
