All of these groups put the standard so high that very few could create music this good. So what happened? The industry started promoting the low-end instead, the 'anyone' can make music demographic, and that's what we have now...mostly crap without structure, without melody, without personality, without guts and filled with an ambivalent point of view. It's up to those of us who know the difference to spread the word and keep this spirit alive! It WILL come back around!

Probably my favourite Foreigner track. There's beauty in simplicity and empty spaces. Lou's voice is incredible but Mick Jones's guitar-playing makes it for me... there's nothing complex, fancy or over-bearing, but it's so powerful.

@Mbrode0417956 жыл бұрын
STRONGLY disagree. Normally replacing an EPIC BELOVED frontman like Lou would “end the love” for long loyal fans. But the guy they found and have used (sorry his name doesn’t come quickly to mind)......is OUTSTANDING. Except for the fact he is NOT Lou, didn’t do the original and didn’t contribute to to first recordings of each song........ The guy is fantastic. Kills EVERY note and does it a respect and appreciation for the master who came before him. This man a serious talent in his own way and if you don’t go see Foreigner any more: 1. You are disrespecting the greatness of the other special band members 2. Missing out on a voice that nails any/every note Lou did 3. Not seeing a great vocalist who Takes over w humility, loves the music, understands and respects it. 4. Missing a GREAT FUCKING SHOW!

A late find for me, someone who loves songs like this, only last year...yeah, incredible indeed...but definitely a song made just for me! For what it's worth: songs like this last forever and they completely disregard the time when they become found, songs like this are just too great to be chained by any limitations...so no matter when and where the magic hits, it becomes a force in life.

So many of Foreigner's upbeat 80s songs seem to be overlooked. I LOVE the Inside Information album since it has that new wave pop/rock sound, but "I don't wanna live without you" was the only hit I guess (and even that's never played now).
