I was lucky enough to see Lou Gramm with Foreigner with Night Ranger live in Bonner Springs,KS in 2000 and my God it was awesome! Lou had closed out the set with Midnight Blue that brought tears to my eyes. This was before his problems with health. I really thank him for his performance that night it was unbelievable!

Kelly is just as good and professional, He had to learn all the songs and DOES A GOOD JOB. He's trying to fit in this band and has done a great effort to be accepted. Live audiences love it. AT LEAST FOREIGNER ARE STILL ROCKING!!! Thank you guys. I ENJOY GETTING OLD WITH MY FAVORITE SONGS... DON'T SLOW DOWN AGAIN !!!!

+thebeastlacey To each is own , but if Lou came back, he would not be the same. Kelly has so much stage presence and interacts with the audience much better than Lou. Lou is old , pot bellied, and cannot hit the high notes. Lou will never be the same again. Kelly is Awesome. But like I said. To each his own.

I've noticed so many comments that they prefer the origional vocals by Lou Gramm... Well, "OF COURSE YOU WOULD!" WHO the hell wouldn't? Lou Gramm had probably one of the top 3 to 5 greatest rock voices of all time... He's in the same mix as as the likes of Paul Rodgers of Bad Company, Steve Perry of Journey, Freddy Mercury of Queen, and Steve Walsh of Kansas. Then, you can also include Roger Daltrey of the Who, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Brad Delp of Boston ( R.I.P.), Paul McCartney of the Beatles, John Lennon of the Beatles and a whole host of others. Some of the ones I've included differ from beautiful vocal range singers, to pure hard driving rock singers. Getting back to Kelly Hansen from Foreigner, he does an incredible job in Lou Gramm's absence. Lou's a very tough act to follow, and Hansen absolutely nails it!

Julie Bridge Yeah Julie. It sure is hard to top Steve Perry. I guess it all comes down to what your preference is. I wouldn't want to have to follow Gramm. I use to work for Boston & Aerosmith, that's why I just had to include them. But they're all fantastic vocalists.

No One can replace Lou-the greatest Voice in Rock and an awesome songwriter! Lou's cancer may have impacted his stage presentation and presence, but through it all he now has Eternal Life through his Saviour, Jesus Christ. NO amount of fame or wealth in this life will bring what Lou now has, and I rejoice in knowing we will share eternity with He who gave His Life to set us Free from Sin and iniquity in this sad sinful World. That said, Kelly is uncannily like Lou and an absolute credit to Lou!

@SHS854EVER Journey found Arnel Pineda on KZbin; he'd been huge in the Phillipines for over a decade, and he fit the bill. The new cd he recorded with them is good. This guy (Kelly Hansen), however, has been in a number of successful bands dating back to the 70s, the most prominent ones being Jinx and Hurricane. Lou Gramm casts a pretty big shadow, but I think Kelly does well fitting into the band. Your standards for live performance must be unbelieveably high to call him "terrible."

RedVivid You don't know what your talking about. Kelly puts out so much emotion and energy into all of Foreigner's songs. His voice is in my opinion better than Lou's and I think Lou was great. I loved how Lou made Foreigner but I also Love all Kelly does even better. He is keeping Foreigner alive and all the old songs we love going. He has sex appeal and I love how he moves, how he expresses the song with his face and hands. He performs great. All of the band members give it their all.
