Then the next day we went over to Kalanggaman Island for the day. I love the Philippines. It's so relaxing in the smaller towns and in the Province areas, but I can only stay for so long before I get bored. Gotta hit those beaches in Boracay, Cebu, and explore other places. The Philippines is great!

So in 1985 I was 20 years old and I had a Thai girlfriend that I had promised to marry her.a dear friend treated me to a holiday to South Africa from .we was staying in the holiday inn in Durban,I had cold feet and writ a dear John letter,telling the Thai girlfriend that I was to young to get married,I screwed up the letter and pushed it under the bed and forgot about the letter,weeks later I got a letter from the Thai girl friend telling me it ok it’s over,somehow the letter underneath the bed in South Africa ended up at the Thai girlfriends house in Bangkok,anyway I jumped on a plane to Bangkok from London. And surprised her like you did and told the girlfriend just give me a bit of time,we got married the next year .i was 21 and she was 20.later this month we will be married 38 years,best move I ever made,I hope you find the happiness that I found with my Asian wife

What a great surprise! I have heard of other situations that a man surprised his so-called girlfriend by showing up only to discover that the relationship was not what he thought. Is fantastic that you have such a wonderful relationship with a sweet and loving Filipina. I would love to be able to pull off that kind of surprised, it would be more difficult where my fiance is in a more remote area of negros. I'm not sure that I would be able to rent a car to make the 5-Hour trip and then to go back up into the jungle in the mountains. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

The strike ended last Wednesday, hopefully you are back in town. I have visited my Filipina girlfriend 3 times over the past 3 years in Northern Luzon. I recently tried to help get her a tourist visa so she could visit me in the Seattle area, but she was declined. Trying to plan our next steps together.

You got me thinking. I usually go there March-April every year. In LDR with same lady 8 years now. Been there 6 times already. (missed 2yrs. because covid restrictions). Usually I plan my trips well ahead in advance. But now I may look into possibly planning something like you did here for a surprise visit later this year. I go to Muntinlupa City... (Manila). So it's easier to get to my destination from the airport.
