Good advice for guys looking for a Filipina here in the Philippines. I didn't have to do that. I found mine 22 years ago in Canada. She was an OFW contract Caregiver and I also worked in health care. There is a big difference between dating and finding a good one. It is about 100X easier to date in phillipines than in USA. If you are from rich western country there will be many filipinas that will want to date you. Why because you make about 10X more income that the majority of the local filipinos. All women want men with resources. The difficult part is finding a good one to marry and establish a long term relationship with. Women in phillipines are almost as fucked up in the head as the women in the west.

Let's be honest. Most guys leave their home country because they're not doing well with the women there. So they'll be mad at the women, call them non-traditional, say they've been tainted by the internet and online dating, and head to the Philippines or Thailand thinking they're going to be in high demand and pull women left and right. If you can't pull quality women in your home country, you won't overseas either. And women in the Philippines and Thailand all have access to the same dating apps, social media sites. They watch the Kardashian's and the same reality TV the women in your home country do. Just keep your expectations low because again if you're not doing well with the women in your home country, it will be a lot of the same overseas. The women in Asia who come from very affluent families and have money typically don't want a foreigner. Good luck boys, it's the same all over the world. Travel for yourself! Travel to see new places, eat new foods, and just grow. Don't travel for the soul intention of meeting women; if you do that, you'll most likely be disappointed.

It's called opportunity cost. It's a logical argument. Be strategic. Filipinas are beautiful and in general are very modest, traditional ladies. But the challenge I had with them (online and in real-life), their education was very low. Even the ones that had graduated from University had very little to non existent world-knowledge. I get it, they don't travel due to very little opportunities. In my time there, I can't recall ever meeting one that would meet the requirements to call her intellectual. Some will ask me if only stayed in the provinces... no, i travelled around and also met a few from Manila and Cebu (the big IT centers). I met several men who had pinoy gf or wives and they always said the same thing: the ladies are good, but they have to be directed to almost everything. Certainly there will be exceptions--but that's what they are, exceptional and rare. IF you found one, hang on to her. If you have high standards for a lady, in PH you either lower them or move on to other countries. Best of luck to everyone out there.

Funny how spot on your numbers were! I kind of geek out on numbers and just re-examined and decided on 14 days in the Philippines today. 100k is about my income, at the moment, too. The cost to visit sounds high, though… and most guys with vacation time are still getting at least some of their pay while gone, so the opportunity cost isn’t that bad as an employee or entrepreneur, but maybe as a purely contract worker. 6k to stay, though… I would think more like 4k including a 2k ticket.. hope I’m not that far off! Probably won’t be visiting any bars, though.. I think that would be a waste all-around. Cebu, then some provinces. Can’t wait!

It's not as costly as you put it. I paid 1400 cad for a ticket from Toronto to Manila. Not direct flight, but I did not care. Airbnb was 250 cad per week in Makati Manila in a luxury condo with pool on the roof top. Food was not expensive either. You can eat well for much less than in the west. I'm handsome and in top shape. Never had a problem attracting interest even in the west, but in the Philippines it's even more. No need for bars.

When I was stationed in the Philippines, my buddy was dating this Filipina who was pretty jealous and convinced he was cheating on her. I don't actually think he was but honestly don't know for sure. Where we were there were pretty frequent power outages. The two of them were in a bar hanging out. She waited for a power outage and then broke her beer bottle on the counter and slashed him across the chest with it. Don't mess with a Filipina. I was on guard duty that night and so I saw the wounds when he came back to our ship. Pretty serious stuff. I'm sure he has large scars to this day. At least she didn't slash his face.

I have "dated" many Filipina's online. What you are saying is very true. The actual one I found that was honestly interested in me Never asked for anything. All she wanted was my time, and knowing she was the only one I was talking too. The only reason her and I never went anywhere was because her Mother didn't think I had Value in the long run. I had been talking to Jiji for over 2 years. But one conversation with her mother put me on her block list, after a thoughtful apology on her end for why she couldn't move any further. I had sent them money and aided her family because I wanted them to know I was serious. Jiji ruined my trust in ever dating another. I dont see why her Mother felt I was not worth Jiji's time. I only sought out ways for us to work out and be together.
