I FOUND A FIX for people who have a empty mods folder and it doesn't work follow me I found out the problem is from amd drivers You gotta go to Google and type "AMD software adrenaline edition" You download it Open it and download every update that's in there When it's done it's gonna ask you to restart the PC do that and then open the software again make sure there's no more updates Open Minecraft and try it should work PLS PIN THIS COMMENT IF POSSIBLE SO PEOPLE CAN FIND IT

you need the full name of your graphics card and then search it up on google.. for example "previous driver for rx 570", "previous driver for AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XTX", "etc". You can check out your full gpu name by pressing windows + r and type dxdiag in run. Then press the second tab titled Display1. Under Name it should give you the full name. Search up that name in google.

@@radrando I did the windows + r method like you said and went into the display tab, The name of the drive is still called " AMD Radeon (TM) Graphics", maybe I am suppose to be looking at something else? Is it possible that it might be something else like the chip type? Idk at this point. If it helps my device is a HP 24 in one computer.

The same error happened to me and I couldn't find drivers anywhere, so I entered an application which was already integrated into my laptop called "amd software adrenaline edition 23.7.2", I downloaded the application and there the option to choose one appeared. previous version, after downloading the previous drivers and restarting the pc, the forge of version 1.20.1 was already working for me My laptop is a Vitus 15 with amd radeon tm graphics I hope I've helped

Sorry for late reply. I have no idea. There are a lot of smart people out there. Maybe try asking people on reddit. Hopefully it works out for you. It seems like what can help is a factory reset on your computer. Your graphics card should be able be detected. Maybe in device manager your display adapter you chose the wrong driver. Click on browse for drivers on computer. There should be another driver

Try to not go so old maybe. Also maybe download from official site. Make sure you are downloading the right driver. If you have windows 10 download windows 10 version. If you have 32 bit download 32 bit....

For the newer versions you need to update your drivers for nvidia drivers you need to uninstall them before installing the newest version.

I'm planning to make my own Minecraft series with the Create mod along with other mods, like the Adventure Backpack mod as well as Cracker's wither storm mod. You need an older driver because for whatever reason the newest amd driver update doesn't work with minecraft hopefully in the future they resolve this issue. Hope this helps

Not having an issue with minecraft itself but with mods, so reddit has failed my specific search terms, thank you for filling a data void good sir. Now there's something I can definitely do. Have even done before, but its been a whole while, maybe 3 years. Ancient history in computing. I'll check back with this issue if I'll remember but I totally updated the driver just a bit ago too, because i do that manually. Havent been in a minecraft kick since. And now im thinking of getting into Create Modpack. Hum! ... This has happened to me before!! WITH minecraft proper! Its because javascript has been discontinued for most browsers I bet, they no longer care to perfectly sync javascript progress with driver compatability. Mind ya, we aren't talking lazy exactly, this is probably 3 of the fricken, 200,000 lines of code interacting of an issue. Maybe 3 10 hour workdays for one coder to be tasked to fix, and that'd be like a $300 issue for the driver maker contractor. Still annoying, but understandable. I CERTAINLY wouldnt wanna fork over $300 for kids these days not bein able to play all their old modpacks.

I've tried with both dxdiag and with Speccy, and both just mentions "AMD Redeon Graphics". I own a laptop, that you aren't really suppose to game much on, and I don't know if it actually has a graphics card, because when I look at the processor, it's a "AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics 2.00 GHz". Now, I'm not the best at computers and graphics card's and what not, but the fact that I can't find a specific graphics card, and my processor has "with Radeon Graphics" in it's name, leaves me to believe that my computer dosen't have a graphics card. I could ofcause be wrong, but after a lot of seaching yestherday and today, I don't think I can fix it. I could ofcause buy a graphics card, but i think I would rather buy an actual computer instead then. In any case, you made a great video and helped a lot of people, thanks for that.

To everyone else who is lost, and has all the issues in the description, plus this does not work. It is highly likely that it is your gpu. Dont worry, there are fixes, search up minecraft gpu issue fix's. And yes, your gpu can work for normal 1.20.1 and not for forge version, its weird. so dont think its NOT YOUR gpu because it runs fine on normal minecraft. believe it or not, its likely minecraft is not even using your strongest gpu, alot of computers come with two, and most games use your strongest as a default, but minecraft has a special way of doing things and it often does not and you need to change it to use it manually. This will not only fix the issue but make minecraft way faster

Well you didnt install the driver so step 1 again OR 1) Download and install an older version of your graphics card www.amd.com/en/support/previous-drivers/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-570 2) Restart computer (The second method should work but if you wanna be extra sure do the first method but both methods work)

you can try tweaking your graphics settings... some people did that.... every gpu has its own graphics settings n all. there was this guy in comment that said he tweaked something n then it worked... im convinced the issue lies with the gpu if you have already done all the other troubleshooting suggestions... such as reinstalling minecraft launcher and starting new minecraft folder file and updateing the java... etc

I am an unfortunate one as my Laptop only gives me two options, the current one or the older one which neither of them work, I am unable to do much now except hope that I get lucky one day and manage to find out the problem

Thank you so much! Although my solution wasn't of what you mentioned in the video, you still helped me massively! I thought my driver was the newest, but because you mentioned of going to the manufacturer's website, I was able to upgrade my driver fully. I can finally use mods - tysm!

I've tried finding an old version of my Graphics Driver but I couldn't find it- (I'm on Laptop) so I'm probably gonna try a different launcher (ATLauncher- I've heard it works fine on anything especially crappy computers like mine) and if that fails I'm coming back to this
