I think his outlook this time around and seeing it as something he's gonna invest years into is much healthier. I was around for his first brief attempt at GM and I never wanted to give a stranger a pep talk about mindset so bad in my life. Compared to then, he's fine imo. I think it's fair to feel shaken after such a thing, so long as you don't let it break you and you get back on the horse. Especially when you consider all the effort that goes into not just practicing and training but travelling, getting a hotel, sitting across the board from people you know are beasts at chess, making content on the road in your hotel room, etc and then just bombing completely. It's a shitty, shitty feeling. That's why I despise people who hate on Levy and people as ambitious as him, dude is actually incredibly driven and successful and I will always root for him.
