For three years, I travelled across the country of the Netherlands in search of the most extraordinary remaining traditional crafts, to capture them in all their glory.
Over 200 pages present you will find more than 150 photos of 17 different crafts. This makes the book a never-before-seen document, showcasing the enormous diversity, richness, and importance of Dutch craftmanship. Each chapter contains essential stories about crafts and their importance to the Netherlands.
in this chapter I photographed the reed cutters in National Park de Weerribben-Wieden.Thanks to active recovery management, this wetland in Overijssel is one of the few places in the Netherlands where nature is doing well. The reed cutters in this area have a crucial role in this result.
