The pastor or any church leader needs a team of people he or she is accountable to, someone they're open with. A therapist who's unbiased, someone they can talk their deepest issues through with. This is why I left the church, denominational and non-denominational. It cannot handle pushback, and definitely not if you're a woman who challenges leadership.

I see some here are saying it’s cowardly or inappropriate to “slander” Ravi? I would say just the contrary… Brave actually. It’s very hard to come to terms with someone, a corrupt member, on your side of the truth. Sincere Christians do not take pleasure in this but feel morally obligated and are speaking out to communicate their brokenness over it. We need to make sure that the other side, the world, knows that Ravi is an exception, not a rule, and that we do not condone it and are not trying to cover it up. That we hold each other accountable within our faith. Suggesting we should not be discussing it may be easy for you to say if the man who came as a safe man of God, attacked your daughter or wife in the most violating and intimate ways: Physically, and spiritually… I loved Ravi, his story, his books, his podcast… Over the years I listened and read thousands of hours of his words and work. I recommended him to countless saved and unsaved friends/strangers. I never held him over my studies of the Bible or of Christ, but he was up there as a rock and an example. There’s a difference between sounding a warning, encouraging others to use discernment, speaking of false prophets, and then senselessly slandering a man for your own amusement. I think folks are speaking out and up only with heavy hearts, grief, and empathy for the victims. My heart goes out to Ravi’s wife, and his lovely daughters, one of which ironically dedicated her life to witness personally to females of sex abuse and who lived willfully in sexual sin. We are doomed to repeat history if we don’t learn from it, and we can’t learn from it if we don’t talk about it.

That was beautifully written. I too was a great supporter of Ravi along with my sons. I vehemently denied that it was a possibility Ravi could have done any of this, it broke my heart. I am also a survivor of sexual abuse so this piled on the pain. Even so, I am appalled by the jackals coming out and rippling and tearing with maniacal delight at the carcass of RZIM. Even the so-called evidence in his emails is phrases, words taken out of context and never confirmed with those who knew him, who could give some context. Anyone of any celebrity status who gives his email to any who ask because he didn’t want to offend them by refusing, always cautioning them to “be careful what they did with it,” receives hundreds of pictures and selfies from fans & admirers, often inappropriate ones. That is pandemic in our society today. And everything you receive on your phone or computer is there for eternity, as we are constantly warned, and can always be “forensically retrieved.” So there are pictures. The investigator never told us their origin, whether he researched them or they were sent to him. Is he responsible for what is sent to him? If he is, then so is everyone else. There is absolutely no way that Ravi is guilty as charged, convicted, canceled and executed, some even going so far as to claim that he never knew the Lord. I knew him, inside and out. I trust him & believe in him no less than I did on May 18th last year when he called me to him and kissed me as long as he had the strength, his last physical act in his life. It is not because I am in denial. It is because I knew him and because there is absolutely no evidence to support anything contrary. I have written this because I feel it is important that you, his family, know what I know, know what I have found and not found, so that you may have confidence to continue to love and respect the man you knew, and that you may know that he was the man you knew. And we know from reading the Bible that he prefers to destroy his victims and watch them and their family and friends suffer...for maximum damage and humiliation. Is this not the story of Job ? So how come he never was able to destroy Ravi while he was alive ? What's the next best thing? Destroy his reputation when he can't defend himself...and destroy the work of God accomplished through Ravi's service. This is my conclusion on the matter having read the Bible which exposes the devil's schemes.

(i am not saying that every single one of them is necessarily all 100% truthful either) For me, what I think turned this case around is when those close to Ravi (his daughter, President of RZIM) looked at stuff like his phones, pictures, messages, emails etc. and realised what was going on. Don't forget that all these guys (Ravi's daughter, all the senior staff at RZIM) fought for his innocence. By acknowledging his guilt they are killing the goose that laid the golden egg. What I mean by that is...... if Ravi is guilty they all lose their ministry and their jobs. If they can prove he is innocent, they could continue his ministry and continue to receive the funding that Ravi attracted. So, they would not have given up without a fight. Actually Ravi's daughter and wife could be considered absolutely despicable people... if they actually believe in his innocence but instead of fighting for his reputation have fully accepted the allegations. They are not disgusting people. She has the integrity to admit that her dad did wrong. I guess there are one or two guys on the internet who could have absolved Ravi and proved his innocence??? Shame that you guys did not get the task of proving his innocence. You'll seem to be coming up with strong "evidence" that he did not do it, and it's a shame that nobody is listening. Right?

I’m sorry, I completely agree that these victims needs a voice and it’s a good thing that the truth about Ravi is coming out. But where is he getting that stats he quotes at the end? Where is he getting that 1/3 girls are sexually abused in Canada before age 18? And where is he getting the number that it’s the same within the church as it is outside the church. Does anyone know where he is getting this from? I’ve seen these stats come from extremely unrealiable sources and also misquoted all the time as well. If he’s misrepresenting, this is a problem.
