I've had one so far and I was panicked until I was told my SSDI would continue. It was so stressful and affected my disabilities. I love the idea of keeping a notebook. That is a wonderful idea and I think would be super helpful because one of my symptoms is memory loss.

Husband and I are guardians for our adult son. He has had a review of his disability status twice in 3 years! He is deaf, blind, autistic, and has severe intellectual disability. Do they suppose he is ever going to be able to work?
@christinekaras17308 ай бұрын
Thanks for the reassurance about the CDR. This is my 3rd one and I called one time and the SSA worker told me "no news is good news" LOL. I didn't believe him cause I was stressing so much cause you see videos about people being cancelled all the time and I was in and out of the hospital constantly so couldn't imagine how I was going to be able to go back to work! I just got my letter from SSA saying "oh never mind, we're not gonna review you after all", but we might later on or whatever it says. I spent 3 months in the hospital last year so was wondering if they would even bother to look at my medical record or say "Oh hell no!" Who has time for that! " LOL

Yeah, check the mail, and if it's not in the mail, then you're good and just go on with your life. So, hopefully, they treat you right, if not, let me know, and we'll come up with a game plan. You take care of yourself.

I think the person who said their SSDI is "at 90% and holding" was referring to the status of their SSDI claim that they see when they log onto their MySSA portal. I am a disability paralegal of 20 years and often I have clients gleefully tell me that they saw on their portal that their claim is 90% complete. Meanwhile, I can log onto ERE and see that their claim has not yet even been assigned to an adjudicator. So I have to be the big old wet blanket and explain that their claim is in fact NOT 90% complete; Nobody at DDS is even looking at it yet.

I think you're 100%, right. I hate that gauge, but I like the fact that social security is trying, but I always tell people it's like when you download a program. It says ten percent twenty percent and then it says eighty percent and then it says twenty percent again...

Now I am stressed. A journal? Yikes. I fail horribly at keeping track of things and doing things like lists. I have a hard time just filling out and checking boxes on doctor's forms and other types of forms. What do you even put in the journal? I feel bad today. I went to the cardiologist today. I feel good/kinda good today. Won't that put into question your disability status? What happens if there's no journal to give them? Can you please do a video on a journal?

You can leave everything to the doctor if your doctor keeps good notes.
@spinstercatlady8 ай бұрын
What I do is buy a yearly planner (just a small calendar from the dollar store will work perfectly) to keep track of my appointments. Then, after the appointment, I just jot in a few notes about what happened at the appointment, ant tests or treatments ordered, etc. It comes in handy bc a lot of SSA forms ask things about when was your last doctor appointment (and next appointment) and with what provider.

Hi Mr Ed, can please talk about the Medicare Saving Program which helps you get Medicaid. They also do a Rewiew which they can also close your account. Do you know the actual amount that you go over & are there exception to the rules? Thank you!

Hi Ed, when reporting my income on my Social Security account there is no option to report paid time off on any given pay period. I don't want to mail copies of pay stub to Social Security as as we know may get lost I would prefer to report it online. I can call office however wait times are still long. Any suggestions? Thanks for your site.
@MyGovExpert8 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, if it doesn't let you do that part online, then you'll have to send it. Make copies and send those. That's probably the best.

Ive been on disability for 10 years and never had a review. My health conditions have only worsened. I have never been able to work any type of job for extra income in all this time. Is this unusual? Should I dare ask them why or just continue to wait for a notice that they want a review at some point in the future?
