My family and went to Wrestlemania 7 at the LA Sports Arena. I was in 7th grade at the time. We got there early in the hopes of seeing the wrestlers show up and get pictures with. The first wrestler we saw was the Iron Sheik. We were intimidated and didn't know how a 'bad guy' would be in real life. He knew we were nervous and in his thick accent yelled over to us - "Hey, come and take picture with the Iron Sheik!" He put his arms around us (my brother, two cousins and I) and smiled for the camera. I'll never forget how nice and caring he acted towards us.

I had a similar experience with him in Chicago in the 80's. My friends and I would go to the house shows at the Rosemont Horizon (now the All-State Arena) and would arrive early to see the wrestlers. Most of the heels would ignore us though a few would growl at us or give us dirty looks. But the Iron Sheik arrived in a cab wearing a Gold's Gym tank top, sweatpants, and his pointy wrestling boots. He would see us kids and say "HAHAHAHA, look at this back, children!" and do poses for us as we jeered him. He stayed a few minutes and let us take pictures of him, laughing and smiling the whole time.

In 1990 I was 18 yrs old and worked at Kroger. One evening I was there and Sid Vicious walked in the door and moments later Lex Luger walked in. Some of my friends were standing on the sidewalk outside so I went out there to wait for the wrestlers to come out of the store. Sid came out first so I told him he had better watch out because Lex Luger was in there( I guess he and Lex were not getting along in the wrestling world) he said "yeah"and just left. When Lex came out I asked him if he would put my buddy in the human torture rack. He just smiled and kept on walking. A minute after that I was still out on the sidewalk and a small 4 door car pulled up beside me the window on the back door rolls down and it was the Iron sheik. He asked me directions to civic center. Cant remember the other 3 guys in the car but when that window came down I could tell they were having a good time.

@@RawKetchup It's a shame that They apparently couldn't quite re-invent a character/alter-ego that he(Janetty) could've morphed into, after they(The WWF)decided to Destroy The Rockers franchise,in order to make Shawn Michaels they're little heel glam-boy golden-goose. I mean,They could've gotten another Tag-Team partner for Janetty, and Shawn as well, and they could've had a Great Tag-Team Rivalry trilogy of sorts. They Really wanted Shawn as a One Man Show obviously, but a Tag-Team Rivalry thing with Janetty, and his new Tag-Team partner would've been Great,at least as a side-dish thing for Shawn Michaels. Janetty wound up appearing occasionally,in solo matchups, following the end of The Rockers, from what I remember, but he was clearly meant to be a Tag-Team type of Wrestler. Janetty and Owen Hart would've made a Great Tag-Team combo.
