F1 cars have been slowed down massively due to regulations. The turbocharged monsters of the 90's were way more powerful but they really lived up to the "monster" title.

Imagine going faster than some motorsport cars while you are on 2 wheels, no roof, no protection, u feel every air blowing at you, vibrations etc. You basically fly with ur whole body if u crash😭 They are all modern day daredevils.

Since when did motor sports and race engineering become a white people thing? Even aerospace is highly underrepresented. I work in the industry and I see so many young African Americans enjoying automobiles, it’s such a central piece to their culture. And yet, the leap to competitive racing and engineering seems to fall flat. Even just a general interest. It’s definitely not money because there’s plenty of cheap options. karting extremely cheap and that’s where all the professionals start. In fact it is common for drivers to maintain a fondness for the simplicity and symbiotic relationship you get with a kart that they return periodically. Does it just not have a significant place in culture? Performance Engineering has been shoved down my throat my whole life. It’s incredibly important aspect of humanity and one of the most powerful tools for innovating the path for our future. So much of the things we enjoy today are the direct result of racing. I’m so happy to see people enjoying it as much as I do.
@entertainingandfun271910 ай бұрын
Sadly becoming a professional driver at the highest level on the other hand is highly exclusive for everyone. It’s equivalent to actors. But there’s nothing wrong with competing at the lower levels. And you don’t need to become a driver to be involved. It’s so easy to get into the business. Just go to events and meet people. They’ll teach you the majority of what you need to know. Then if you wanna take the next step there are very cheap schools that offer engineering programs.
