Been using Newt's F1 for years, use the brown for snares and water traps for beaver, use black for my land traps for coyotes. if one gets messed up, I pull it wash it off, dip it again in F1 and its ready the next day with no odors.

Liked the video Todd. I never used that stuff, But I did hear good stuff about it. I do the old school dying & wax I've been doing that since it's 81. One year I did use the speed dip that you use gasoline with and my catches went way down and they were sticky. Love watching your videos 👍🏻.. How can I go about getting a shirt or hat of yours ?

Hey Todd , took you’re advice on the Formula 1 dip. Traps came out looking fantastic. Thanks for the video. Another question Todd how do you hook your toggle on mink traps to the end of you’re chain.

I’m in Pa. Do you know of a place in Pa where I can buy Formula One or must I order online? Thanks!

Todd, you did not say to much about your trap cleaning process prior to dipping. Is a good power wash sufficient?
@toddstrohecker2 жыл бұрын
Correct. All I do is power wash and re-dip

Sounds pretty easy,does it remove all the odors like boiling does?

Do use anything after F1? Like a full metal jacket or such.
@toddstrohecker2 жыл бұрын
Nope, just a coat or two of F1

If your traps were previously waxed, would you boil them first to remove the old wax? When you say you dip new traps about 4 times, does that mean you dip them 4 times in a row or do you let them dry completely before you dip them again? Do you hang your traps outside with airflow to dry or just hang them inside your trappers shed?
@toddstrohecker Жыл бұрын
Yes, you should remove the old wax. Let the dry in between dippings. I do it in the shed but it would go faster if they had air.

Todd have you ever used muriatic acid to clean up your traps? Thanks for the info........
@toddstrohecker2 жыл бұрын
No. Only to remove zinc plating from chain, etc.

Just got done dying my traps, can I dip them now with the F1?
@toddstrohecker2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it will work over dye (but won’t stick to wax).
