EXCELLENT (pardon my shouting) tutorial. Not a word spoken any yet it was clear as a bell. I set my software up step by step, pausing this video so I could complete each step. It worked flawlessly the first time I tried it on my 2016 F250 SD. I used the EX link bought through Amazon. My pickup came with towing package, but did not have the gain control for trailer braking installed. I bought a Ford control and did the quick install, it's easy because the harness is already there. Using Forscan I was able to tell the on board software that the switch had been installed and Voila! the 'gain' worked and showed up on my display screen.

The obd connector I use is the Ford VCM2 it is a pass thru device. Which may well work with other programs. I am currently revising thus video for 2024 with an alternative adaptor

Once the software is downloaded and license is clear. Do you have to be hooked up to internet to link your vehicle to forscan via the elm327?

this is great, but one question, 3,27 into the video it lists some adapters, but on my screen there are none listed, there's not even a drop down menu for them other than bluetooth, is there a way to fix this please? thanks

Hi I have the new bronco that I am flat towing behind my rv and apparently after you put the vehicle in tow mode filling steps from ford the electronic brake booster goes to sleep cause the battery management system seems to shut it down after 45 mins rendering the supplementary brakes useless because the power brake become inoperable?

I have a 2021 ford transit custom. It came with a speed governor, I have read it can be changed to several different speeds through forscan but cant seem to find where it is in the program to change the value

Beware: my 10r80 transmission was sputtering and missing gears. Watched 100s videos on Forscan on how to reset transmission module adaptive learning. Well, I tried and now the vehicle is worse, got a wrench light and now the vehicle is in limp mode. Need to take to dealer. 2018 f150. Don't get. No one can explain???😢

pats functions from around 2010 aren't possible (push button start style). In the video description is a link to a elm327 ive used. I personally use the Ford VCM2 (genuine)

@@johnbickle4654 ​ John Bickle yes they'll be ready to go. I can't see why the elm327 (forscan modified) won't work. I'd try to contact forscan with vehicle details to be 100% as i'm only going on experience. Ive a video on coding a key on an older 2004 vehicle with the incode/outdode process

hi i have a 1.4 tdci fiesta 2003/4 ,car will not start ,imobileiser lights goes out when i put the key in and crank it ,but will not start ,i have scanned it and fault code u2510is coming up ",invalid security data received from pcm " i have the forscan full licence ,but when i try to match the pcm and the pats control system the bar at the bottom only goes to 50% completed but it tells me the two are linked again but when i rescan the car it wells me the same problem is there and the car will not start , do i need an internet connection to carry out this prociture on the car ? the advise the forscan gives it has to retrieve a number ,but is this in forscan system or comes through the internet ? any help would be great cheers paul

@@SYDiagnostics Hi, I downloaded the program and asked for a two month free license. The editor of the program sent me an email with a link where I can download the free code. It must be saved on the computer where you will find it. Works well when you follow the instructions
